Random question, back in the summer i wanted to buy my daughter a replica shirt, and as i was only off on sundays when the club shop was closed (and unsure of size to buy online) we were stuck. Now, when i was younger, and buying shirts every year (or 2 years) you could pick them up from any local sports shop, so naturally we tried all the chains etc in Ipswich, Colchester and surrounding areas with no luck, with plenty of other teams on display... Eventually i got rained off and was able to get one from the club shop and never thought to much more about it... Fast forward 8 months and i today found myself in a sports direct again, noticing no town shirts, but full of others. But this was my point, there was no umbro shirts at all... So, is the lack of shirts in generic sports shops... A. An umbro thing B. An ITFC thing C. The shops deciding to only stock the big teams D. Simply demand
Im sure its most likely a contractual thing somewhere but just curious, and clearly out of touch with my shirt buying
Just thinking out loud, but do we think it's possible this season? If so, who? Could Delap or Hutchinson make the step up, especially with the new England coach... Could Philips force his way back? Could Davis make a good shout?
Also, if things go well in the coming weeks for us, could anyone make the next international break? I'm not saying they will play, but a call up can't be too far away for some of these lads surely?
Hi guys, novice question here. My daughter has expressed an interest in the match so i bought a couple of tickets last night. They're is pretty slim pickings now (which is good) but managed to find 3 together so bought them without a second thought.... My 3am thought however, was that ive bought them in the lower tier of the cobbold, right below where the away fans would normally sit... Now, with all the upper tiers closed for this match, im wondering if ive managed to buy where the away fans may be situated? I cant imagine there'd be loads, but it could be why there were ample seats... Any thoughts? Chesers
Its a funny phrase really... These players are spending nearly every day together, training, laughing, joking, eating... I bet they socialise after training... They are profesionals...
How many people went to the park after school, picked teams out of all the random people there, then played the best football of your life up to that point..?
Ok, i believe players need time. I genuinly do. But this idea of gelling... Its not like they only ever see each other for 90mins on a Saturday..
This isnt a wingy post btw, related to any performance or lack of, just a general point...
So, do any of our new signings look like captain material, or are we expecting a war tawn CB to come in and take the armband? Has any of them captained before..? Or does Nowood take your fancy...
Just curious really, but when the cobbold stand was first build, it was odviously a lot shorter than it ended up. What was the reason for this? Cost? All that was needed? Or was there ever plans to turn an aging portman rd around, starting with the cobbold, with it intending to be behind a goal? Just curious really, as its had some makeshift enhancements over the years
This may have been covered elsewhere and I have missed it, but who is PCs assistant manager?? I assumed it was robberts as he was bought in by cook, but he is described as a coach... And its still Gill who gets wheeled out to the press like an assistant..? Was Roberts bought in to replace gill so he can assist? Is the official assistant role still vacant till the summer.? 🤔
