Well well well, here we are again. Lets not get to down beat ladies and gents. It appears obvious that our whole team (Apart from a select few) are already thinking about their summer holidays.
I can't recall who wrote 'we only sign old timers looking for one last pay cheque' but they are spot on. The is a fundamental probelm within the football club itself, far greater than 'why isnt peters playing' or 'we need 2 upfront'. While I agree with these things the problem is that we are just not a big club anymore. Idiot cheif executives and managers have allowed us to drift into mediocrity.
We need a shape up quick, in my opinion we need 2 strikers, 2 wingers, 2 full backs!! We need to get back to basics, the saviour isnt Jimmy Bullard and it certainly isnt Kieron Dyer. While I am the biggest fan of Jimmy, we need to look to younger players, hungry youngsters with desire and build a solid, strong, competitive squad. There is some immense talent in the lower leagues, lets have the balls to go and find it ala Norwich City. Paul Jewell is the man to do it and roll on the summer.
For the rest of the season I propose:

It beggars belief how he is still in a job. He must of been bloody nice in previous life to be given this much time. Chris hughton getting the sack is ridiculous aswell, Keane must be counting his blessings.
Nobody wants to support you anymore Roy, you are hopeless and if Clegg thinks we are going to make it to the play offs with Roy at the healm then he may aswell do one aswell!!!
What is wrong with the people running OUR football club. The are dillusional, do Clegg and Evans watch a different game to us? Keane you have become a joke, you have no tactical awareness, you have no ability to change a game once its started and most of all you have no idea who to buy, who to loan or what to do in general!!
Ive said it once and I will say it again, we have the players, we have the set-up, the ground, the facilities and we have money........what we do have is a competant manager!!! The players don't want to play for him anymore and the fans dont wanna cheer for him anymore!!! simple really isn't it Marcus!!!!

The attendance was low for many reasons not just because the people that didnt attend are less commitmented that all these people that appear to believe they are better fans than the rest of us. Where all you lot at the dismal display at Norwich which cost £50, plus another £30 for last nights game. We are near christmas, the weather is terrible and the team has been woeful. I have tried not to comment on this whole Roy Keane issue because from day 1 I have never been in favour of his appointment.
I was at Carrow road on Sunday and I have never been so disappointed at a lack luster and utterly dismal display in all my years of watching the town. What an earth is this bloke doing. He is utterly clueless, Colin bloody Healy shouldnt be in the squad let alone on the bloody pitch! The mans a complete joke, we cant defend, cant attack from midfield, cant defend from midfield and cant score goals!!!
First things first we need to get over this notion of Norris and Leadbitter starting together, they are too similar it doesnt work, let me draw your attention to Lampard and Gerrard. Both are too defensive and this is the problem, with no1 to play the final pass (Like Lansbury on Sunday) and no1 to attack from midfield. We need a big shape up before we are going anywhere. I love the players we have and we have a good squad but I am not the only person that knew our defense would crumble without Mcauley! There is no confidence in the players, It feels as if edwards is almost scared to take on a defender, Scotland plays too deep, no width from the fall backs, where has Townsend gone? and what the hell is with 1 up front! This is the Championship not the premiership, it doesnt matter if you conceed 3 aslong as you score 4, get at them and start attacking with pride and passing ability which we used to see from the likes of Matt Holland.
Finally before I end this rant I would like to thank David Norris for his apoligy after the game Sunday, the only player that obviously realised it was a derby and that it means so much to us Ipswich fans, now we have to wait until april to have our own back. Hopefully with a new manager in charge and a squad of confidence and Passion being drilled into them by this new manager. We have the foundations of a fine squad, we just have someone completely inept and incompetent in charge.
For Ipswich Towns sack Marcus, grow and set and do what all of us loyal fans know you should do, tick bloody tock!!!!!!!!

i dnt think we need anymore players, we have a very capable group of players. Maybe they r being managed incorrectly i dont know. I wasnt keanes biggest fan when we got him, but i can see what he is trying to do. All i care about now is survival and to do that and get results and get some confidence back ITFC needs all its fans backing the manager. Aslong as we are in the championship next year i will ne happy and we can start again, coz lets face it this season is a complete mess, but changing the manager now would be pointless and i think he deserves time. Up the town!!! |

gd to see the optimistic fans have been on twtd today! NOT! 10 million pound is nothing in todays football markets. We spent 4 million on leadbitter and edwards. Peters is too lightweight guys, being quick isnt everything. We need bulk and stability at the back. Smit hand Mcauley can do the job tonight. David Wright is our best defender where has he been, he impressed me last season. Him, Smith, McAuley and Rosenior could do well tonight. Edwards and leadbitter have to start, with potentially martin and quinn also. I would play counago and walters upfront tonight. You may all disagree with this but each to there own. Partydaz who the hell are you to say who played well and did not, it was a better performance from us. if negetivitiy is all you bring then do us all a favour and dont bother. if we improve as much as we have been over the last 2-3 games we will be up there this year. walters, martin, pablo, colback and bruce all had good games. Luck was not on our side today another day whickham and quinn would have scored...just one of those days. we have a break now keane will bring in some new faces and all will come good. |
