West Brom Linked With Cresswell Move
at 09:50:11

We don't actually know whether pj was trying to sign these players. We only know what has been written third party in a newspaper. Maybe we were but it is just as likely they were never coming here anyhow. I'd rather wait to hear something from the club once we have signed than listen to gossip and get disappointed when some player sgns for someone else.

Jewell: Championship Could Be Even Stronger
at 18:47:08

Our last manager started by saying how he had been given the task of being promoted within two years but he himself expected to do it in one. Well, I prefer PJ being a little more cautious, I would rather he under promised yet in the end over delivered.

Jewell: Draw Felt Like a Defeat
at 09:07:53

This was just the second game I had seen this season - The last one being Keanes last game in charge.

It wasn't a great game and neither team played well, the pitch really didn't help.

Martin I thought shows real promise, great attacking intent but at times needs to learn when to be less selfish. At one point Leadbitter was free in the box and could easily have scored but Martin chose to shoot form an impossible angle. These things will come with experience and the more we play him the better he will become.

Martin Fulop was outstanding and kept us in the game with some outstanding saves, so yes whilst we should have held on for the last few minutes without Marton in goal we could have been a few down as well.

Carlos Edwrads who is often slated by you lot also seems to be really developing into a right back and was our best player on the day, with the standard of his football and his commitment and energy.

I was a little disappointed with Bullard, after reading all you have had to say about him I was expecting a lot. He had a distinctly average game although i was impressed with the way the ball seems to stick to him at times when he has a few opposition players around him. Maybe on a better pitch i would have seen a better Bullard but he should be experienced enough to deal with a bad pitch.

Overall i was pleased and am hopeful for the future, considering it is 7 years since we last won 4 games in a row, then three in a row and a draw isn't too bad considering where we were last month.

Apparently we have turned down a combined bid of £800k for delaney ad norris.

Absolutlely crazy! of course we turned it down!

Rather Connor up front than down the left wing!

Jewell in the Town
at 13:45:56

I am fairly pleased with the appointment of Paul Jewell, I think he will be in a similar mould to Joe Royle but will not have the financial constraints that Joe had.

I think he is wise to distance himself from the Arsenal game, i am also pleased that he didn't get drawn on the questions of transfer fund. Jim epsecially paid over the odds for players, it is good that we are keeping our cards close to our chest, ME may have millions but he is a businessman too and will want value for money. I also wouldn't want to see wholesale changes in this transfer window. Our current squad should be given time, palyers might have been putting the effort in but they are short on confidence and no ammount of huffing and puffing will beat a player playing with confidence. I'd like to see PJ get our current squad playing better.

Keane: Some Have Done More Than Their Fair Share
at 11:07:30

Trotter did well when at scunthorpe and they wanted hime. He seems out of favour here so maybe a swap deal could be on the cards with a small nominal fee. Whilst I don't like to see palyers that have moved up through the youth system leave (i would be far too sentimental to be a football manager) it seems we have plenty of options in midfield.
