 | News Comment | Hutchinson on Target as England U21s Win Euros at 18:15:09
The Championship Grind eh, Blue Boy? Can you handle it? I've been at it since 1961 and it all seems like football supporting to me. And Dark Horse's post above is one of the most arrogant posts I've ever read on here. You may be an expert Dark Horse and if so I apologise but my gut tells me the ones who know don't read like that. |

Excellent piece for me and a great antidote to some of the frankly hysterical reactions to Sunday's main match report. My only fear for the summer is that central midfielders of the calibre we need are going to be hard to find and cost a bomb. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-4 Arsenal - Match Report at 22:49:04
Sorry Algy I'm not a stats man but the Premier League is now a different beast from anything we've encountered in other seasons. The home results are crazily bad - my worst moment was being with my daughter right behind the goal in that soaking gale at the AR end and watching those two Bournemouth goals go in in the last five minutes. And it's gone on but I will be massively surprised if the club doesn't continue to grow under this management. I hope to see it. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-4 Arsenal - Match Report at 21:22:06
Carberry, everybody has a different view of what the problem is. The problem is we have a constantly diminished squad through injuries which wasn't quite experienced enough to survive in the first place and now everyone is looking for scapegoats. I watched my first Ipswich game in 19bleeding61 and believe me if you think these are bad times you are deluded. Even my worst times have had worse times. Having a pair is not shouting insults at players and managers and experimenting with dumb team lists and formations but looking forward to next season with hope and expectations of lessons learned. And not with some deadbeat manager who has tried and failed elsewhere. On the other hand I understand this is a space for letting off steam, but blimey .... |
 | News Comment | Town in Godfrey Talks at 15:49:45
No worries about Norwich connection for player unless he at any time - has said "my blood runs yellow", has celebrated goals against us with undue arrogance, has made obscene gestures to the North Stand, is in any way related to Chris Sutton or has praised Delia Smith's cooking. Am I leaving anything out? |
 | News Comment | Blues Renew Philogene Interest at 12:11:20
I think this is deliberate and benign false info from Town management or a massive kite flown by low level hacks. Too much fuss. We are looking for a right winger. |
 | News Comment | Wolves Forward Cunha Charged By FA at 19:47:28
Has Cunha been immediately suspended? If not yet disciplined as he deserves to be he can surely go out before his ban and make amends by playing well and getting Wolves a draw against Leicester. i think if we get above Leicester we wil stay up. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 AFC Bournemouth - Match Report at 20:06:15
Great to be back at PR today. Ballot tickets (at last) put us behind the Alf Ramsey goal in the full face of the rain and wind. My daughter and I didn't care. For a long time, and then we did. Haven't changed my opinion that this is a totally committed side who deserve better. Over the moon for Chappers first goal in the prem. We can stay here but if we don't we'll be back! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: First Home Win Will Be Brilliant, We Know It Will Come at 19:09:42
MathieM, nothing has to give. It could be a draw. As for the doomsayers even the boys at EADT called the Spurs game wrong. Kieran could surely have put Woolfie in at RB so I guess Harry, who is a fighter, has been training well. |
 | News Comment | Sheeran Played Role in Delap Signing at 18:48:33
Ha ha, Cadiar, that's my kind of mistake. I doubt if Town have ever had a player from Hampstead. Prizes for anyone who can find one! |
 | News Comment | Burley: One Step at a Time But I'm Feeling Well at 20:31:01
The very best for a speedy and complete recovery. You were my hero defending and bombing up the right and you were up there with the best managers and I know you are hugely respected. Go George and get that cross in. |
 | News Comment | Blues Legend Whymark Dies at 21:54:26
I was devastated when Trev didn't make Wembley. I thought we didn't stand a chance. My favourite moment was a game against Chelsea at Portman Road, someone will remember which, his header was so hard it was almost warp speed. |
