Wonder if KM wants ivan but ashton wants the Norway fella (n/t)
at 18:50 28 Aug 2025

I wonder if KMs family follow the Tennis, and would prefer Ivan to the Norwegian fella, cause KM’s mother used to like Ivan Lendl, and the Norwegian player doesn’t even sound like Mats Wilander, who was Swedish anyway.

Well that’s a thought.

Jackanory style setting.

Narrater: Boys and girls you may have heard a story about three wise men crossing a desert to following a star. But now we are going to tell you a different story, about one wise man, on journey from a barren wasteland, to wear 3 stars…..and then of course usual visuals taken by drunken photographers.

I am thinking, we shouldn't have gone after so many players whose surname ends !

It rarely ends well for us.

Yeah, see that’s what long term planning should be about.

If that Tory hadn’t demonised young fertile people from having babies, well demographic crisis would have been avoided, innit.

Just like council houses, sell them all, don’t build more, ooofff who could have seen that one being a problem either

We could have had lots of 30 somethings in council houses spending money in the economy.

Ahhh yeah, well that’s awkward, you know, sometimes films make a big enough impact once, and we will always have the annual wrecka stow day, as a reminder of the ….best bits.

Well, that’s a quick switch from insulting to flattery.

I don’t have a strategy to defeat Farage, I have one vote, so I don’t have to have a strategy to beat Farage. But I am allowed to voice an opinion when the chance arises.

However, if I was in charge, I wouldn’t be saying, lads, you know that formation and playing style that has seen us on a losing streak, yeah, against all evidence, let’s keep doing that and hope it works, right let’s get out there….

If I was a strategist, I wouldn’t be forming policy to appease Farage on immigration.

I would promote lots of stories about the contribution asylum seekers have made to the U.K.

If you remember the question time episode when Jack Straw was on with that BNP person, Jack Straw read out some of the names written on his local war memorial.

Are you forgetting recent history.

This started with Farage rhetoric about immigration, and how bad the EU was.

What happened, a Tory party didn’t lead, it followed.

People used to laugh a Farage. But people gave in out of fear to a minority view.

You are doing the same thing, worse than that, you want me to pander to Farage, not to stand up for truth, honesty, principles and human decency. Not to post on a topic, and express a view, that you don’t like.

We get your principles, do anything and say anything to stay in power, follow don’t lead. Appease. You have already lost.

It isn’t a game, and when did I say I know better, and most importantly, how insulting of you.

I am clearly from a migrant background, have a partner and other extend family that are migrants.

I live and work with migrants, and my local shopping centre is next to two hotels hosting humans claiming asylum.

So with the greatest of respect, in the usual political interpretation of that phrase, you are the one playing a game.

Rather than trying to lecture “lefties” on here about what they should do, which is the equivalent of saying, yeah see three years ago, I told you KMcK would leave, look at me, how clever am I.

How about you demonstrating how good you are at convincing people, and go and keep talking to Benters and convince him not vote for Farage.

Meanwhile, I’ll keep standing up for my family, friends, humans, mammals and principles.

Cripes I watch quite a few of the same films repeatedly as well.

I would add The Crow, and for some reason I really like watching The Fifth Element.

That is your challenge.

You are supposed to be convincing Benters not to vote for Farage, not people that won’t vote for Farage.

Reform are already changing their language, to counter Labour making progress.

There are lots of majority beliefs that have changed. Leadership is about leading not following.
You are asking people to give into Farage rhetoric who don’t agree with Farage rhetoric, why should they?

If Farage convinced enough people that the NHS should be privatised or we should have the death penalty, using emotional language, would your response be, yep we probably should break up the NHS and make it private a little bit, and allow the death penalty a little bit.

Please vote for us since we do a little bit of what you want. But not everything the other guy claimed they will do.

None of the ones in Parliament at the moment.

All parties, including Reform, are pro immigration to support the needs of the economy.

Yep.

Poor demographics can be helped with things like free movement and joined up migration programs, whilst also assisting people in other countries.

It is the blame someone else strategy.

All the way back to Spinoza, to paraphrase, humans are more easily motivated by feels rather than reals, and that is being exploited.

Yeah, there was some tracking done back in the past on Farage vs Green coverage when both had similar level of support. Farage did get more coverage.

As pointed out above, I am about to get sleepy and will need a nap, so haven’t tracked down that stuff for reference.
