Before I left Suffolk to start college, I had little interest in football, but my new found friends were all into it so I started paying attention.
That was 1998, so good timing really.
Saying that, my first time at PR was I think when I was a cub scout, and Town were at home to Man Utd. I think it was around '94 but I remember nothing beyond going to see a game. |

Even when we signed Louis Barry and Rekeem Harper, I think there was a general acceptance that completely overhauling a squad was going to reveal the odd player who just didn't quite fit.
Same is true here, but due to the bigger expectations (and fees!) we've had to lean on some loan moves a bit more to mitigate the risk.
Not to mention League 1 is as mad as a box of frogs, playing in an ex-Prem stadium one week and an ex-National League the next.
I am excited to see what the new signings can do. |

I was definitely not on board immediately when Paul Cook came in like a wrecking ball, but hindsight shows us that was a massive part of the groundwork for a refit of ITFC.
That clean slate and the recruitment that followed gave us an era that probably won't be emulated, everything fell into place.
Though it is tempting, I will try not to compare what happens now with 22-25, instead treat it as a necessary evolution to strengthen and make us more prepared for the next punt at the Premier League |

We are lucky enough to have TWTD as a resource.
A few times a day I try and click on any banner ads on here that look remotely interesting, but in more general terms - having essentially had free online versions of print newspaper for 20+ years - the culture has shifted to the point where not many will happily for an online newspaper in the way they paid for a print version pre-mass market internet. |

My hometown team uses Pitchero which isn't ideal but it's slick compared to Braintree FC's Geocities site. |

Newsquest acquired Archant and questioned why they weren't monetizing popular content.
I think Stu, Alex etc are hamstrung in that respect.
Their podcasts are free on audio podcast platforms, but the YouTube version is subscription only, I think. |

I would rather look back fondly on those 2 years and the squad that defied the odds.
I'm sure those players would too, rather than sitting on the bench every week and losing their love for the club.
As others have said, keeping the same squad intact for sentimentality does not work as a football model.
Acknowledge it was a pivotal moment in ITFC history, give those players the freedom to seek new challenges and - even if they achieve greater things - they will always look back at the 22/23 and 23/24 seasons with a sense of massive pride. |

Some of my family called it Calibrese when I was growing up, is that a Suffolk thing or is it something different.
