 | Forum Thread | Dentist recommendation. at 19:45 24 Jun 2025
Couple of front teeth got knocked flat when I was in my teens, A&E doctor yanked them straight but they've always been a problem. I've always been NHS but my dentist won't do the implants I want and sent me down the road to a private place. They've scared me saying I need lots of work and I've already parted with just over £1600 on 2 consultations, a small filling and 4 visits to their hygienist. Now they want £9000 for implants and all the associated work. I'm starting to think I'm being conned. Anyone got a decent recommendation for a private dentist? I know it will cost me and I'm quite prepared to pay but just not sure they are being straight with me. I'm in Hadleigh but dont care where within reason. [Post edited 24 Jun 19:47]

 | Forum Thread | Trip to London at 10:14 10 May 2025
When the youngest boy finished his exams, I promised the family a trip to London. I've managed to get away with it up until now, but tomorrow is the day I run out of excuses. Can anyone recommend a few things to keep them occupied for a few hours. I'm lost, I've always avoided it unless really necessary. They are all sitting back, expecting a really nice day out and me to sort everything. |

At the time, some of his mates were getting quotes on polo's and seat ibiza around the £2k mark. We kept below 1000cc on advice. Our 17 year old is inheriting the C1 off his brother, I guess we'll see how much the insurance has changed in a month or so. Good luck. |

Our eldest is 20. Passed march 22. Cheap Citroën C1, £780 first year, £900 second year, latest renewal was £550. His own policy. He pays it all in one go, no monthly payments. |

On the latest signing... 'A spokesman from goalkeeper.com confirmed that Ipswich had decided against their latest recommendations and instead opted to go in search of their own man. Dr Jack Mehoff stated that goalkeeper.com felt the perfect match for Ipswich was Gary Pierce, who hasn't played league football since 1984 with Blackpool, helping them win promotion from the old 4th division. Dr Mehoff stated 'Gary would be a perfect choice for Ipswich's goalkeeping crisis.' Mr Pierce, 73, was unavailable for comment, his wife confirmed he was out in the shed, looking for his gloves.' |

I had mine done in someone's garden shed when I was 17. No fancy creams or ointments, just the realisation afterwards that I was stuck with it so tough s**t. Never had another one. |

He's a professional football player. To say dropping him will knock his confidence is a ridiculous statement. It might hurt his pride, but it will show that no one player is guaranteed a start no matter how they play. |

Keepers are trained like robots, the basic coaching techniques start with kids and are reinforced and added to as the young keepers progress through the ranks. Keepers at club's obviously train together. While you can be an absolute machine in training and look a world class player all week, that doesn't automatically transfer across into games. Muric may well have perfect stats, perceived to be the right height, build, age, trains like a winner, so has all the tools required at the top level. But if he's a poor decision maker and crumbles under pressure, maybe that's where teams in the past have felt they might be able to improve him. Maybe town got knocked back on a few keepers and decided that £8m to try and coach better decisions into him was a reasonable gamble to take. At the moment it's not working. |
