You beat me to it. How the hell can a player, captain or otherwise, be responsible for the many problems that exist at the club and that are completely outside of his control.

Waiting for the Paul McGrath documentary. I thought he came across extremely well.

Holidays in the UK - Dorset
at 10:47 1 Apr 2021

Do the coastal drive from Weymouth to Bridport. Beautiful scenery. Stop off at Abbotsbury and visit the swannery if it's open. Fossil hunting from West Bay - I think you can book a guide at the TIC who will show you the ropes at a very reasonable price - again if its open. If you can stomach the drive to Portland, drive to the top of the hill and have lunch/drink at the Portland heights hotel - fantastic views over the coast and Chesil Beach. If you do go to Weymouth, don't miss the harbour just around the corner from the beach - but be warned parking can be a nightmare in Weymouth.

Milton Abbas, as someone else mentioned, is very picturesque. Also Corfe Castle - you can get the steam train from Swanage to Corfe . And Studland for some nuddy bathing!

You'll be fine tomorrow. If you have a reaction, it'll be on Sunday. Good luck with it!

Had mine yesterday, in and out in less than 10 minutes - very impressive. No problems yesterday, but felt washed out all day today. Probably best not to plan to do much the following day.

Anti vax news.
at 10:32 16 Mar 2021

It is very strange. I cannot for the life of me think why anyone in the front line would refuse the vaccine? I don't think this particular hospital has a high proportion of BAME staff, probably less than those in larger conurbations close by.

I found Badger's link to be somewhat depressing. Over 200,000 health and care workers refusing to have the jab. Putting patients at risk, as the report says, but also, of course, continuing the risk to themselves.

Meanwhile, like Lucan, I'm eagerly awaiting my vax - on Thursday!

He didn't accuse the Trust of anything. He said that a number of staff were not keen on the vaccine.

I have a friend who works at a hospital in a neighbouring county to Dorset. A fairly senior role but not front line. A couple of weeks ago, he happened to mention that a third of the staff had refused to have the vaccine. He then told me this was confidential, so I won't give further details. Perhaps its the South West - a rum lot down here!

Might be BS of course, but I'm pretty sure that he didn't pick this up from social media.

add to that:

"the latest comeback since Lazarus rose from the dead!" (can't remember who he was talking about)

and

"Jocky Wilson, warra n'athlete..."

Good shout for McEnroe. Disliked him when he was playing (melodramatic turd) but completely changed my mind as a co-commentator. Incredibly insightful, pitches in at the right moments and, above all, not afraid to speak his mind.

First rule of pedantry - if you're going to pick up someone on his/her grammar, make sure that you check your own first!
