More organized already at the back. Didnt really got bothered by them.
Still lots of stuff to work on obviously both defensively and up the pitch. But you could see glimpses of what we are trying to do differently.
Just need to continue working on it every day in the training ground. |

A couple of defenders short and som depth in CM and we are home. And some more time for the team to gel of course.
Evans is class. Harper as well. Exactly what we have been missing.
Kvy and burns will create loads of assists. |

Sad to see him leave. Only player in our old squad with some real talent and ability and the only creative spark last season.
His form in the start of the season helped us to not get dragged into a relegation battle come the end..
But we move on, onwards and upwards! |

Is why we want to keep giving away possession by having Holy kicking long balls to Norwood hoping for a defensive misstake to create something.
Its been the same for a long time now and I was guessing Cook would change that, but no. I hardly see other teams do this.
Its the same at kick off. Just a hoof down one side hoping to win a header that never leads to anything. Why is that?

As I see it, you either evolve or you die. We have now been slowly dying for the last 14 years.
To me, football should be entertaining and exciting to watch, thats the football Ipswich Town played when I fell in love with them many years ago. If you are not true to your own identity, who are you then?
It's definetly not just a matter of money, if that's the case then we have everything in place to continue to be mediocre for a long time. It's mainly a matter of how the club is being run from a leadership perspective top -> down. Today it is non existing and especially non inspiring and that starts and ends with Marcus Evans. Leadership is the single most important thing and what will make us able to find our path once again and punch above our weight in the long run.
You can put someone bad in a great environment and they will have the foundation to turn out great in the end. But you can't put someone good in a bad environment and expect great results.. |

Who thinks we're starting to look like a good side?
Sure there is still work to be done, but I havent seen this kind of movement and chance creating set ups in many years from a town team.
I know that the opposition hasnt been overwhelming. But coming from so many years without any creative intent, I'll take that any day of the week. Never mind the loss, I'm finally starting to enjoy watching us play again! |
