Szmodics Out of Irish Squad Due to Injury
at 14:54:40

Dark horse, I think the votes say it all, but of course football, as with most things in life, are all down to personal opinions. In my opinion, chappers hasn’t played well for around 18 months. If he was, he would have been in the eleven week in, week out, other than when injured. KM wants to win games, other than poor form, why else would he not be making the team? Managed out is dramatic, and even if true, he would be managed out due to poor form. Why would we manage out a player on top form? And for the record, I adore chappers. Him moving hurt me more than sammy going. I would like nothing more than him coming back in January, with games under his belt, in form, and helping us to promotion.

Szmodics Out of Irish Squad Due to Injury

IP1Blue - if you read the comments around chappers leaving from both Kieran and chappers himself, there should be no reason why it would beyond you to understand why he wanted to leave: he wanted to leave, he wasn’t put on the transfer list.

Morsy Not On Pre-Season Trip as Town Exit to Kuwait Nears
at 10:43:37

Very mixed feelings for me. I love him so much and he is undoubtedly our most important midfielder and club captain since Holland. But, but, but……age is catching up. I thought he was often too easily out fought, out thought and bypassed last season. I felt treacherous thinking it, but I did feel on occasion last season that he was part of our problems, and not the solutions. We need players who can transition into the prem again, and I’m not sure sammy could be that player now. But, I also love him, want him to stay forever and it will feel like a big part of the fun of the previous 3 years will die a bit if he goes. My heart feels a bit miserable, my head thinks, well maybe it’s time. He deserves a good last contract, and not just being a bit part player for us.

Luongo: Together We Have Created Incredible Memories
at 15:24:09

Crickey, dusty time again. What a player he has been for us. Him and Sam in the middle, week in, week out, during those astonishing, never to be repeated two years of success. Hardly seems real now. Always seems like a genuine nice guy. He will always be welcome back at PR; one of the good ones. All the best, Mass, you deserve a good contract at a good club, I wish nothing but the best for you….unless you ever face the Town!

Town Buy Former Owner Evans's Remaining Shares

A low bar, but that is by a huge margin the best news of this season. A chancer, a charlatan, a stain on this clubs history, and forever the man that broke Ipswich Town Football Club.

McKenna Commits Future to Town
at 15:13:32

Semantics I know, and probably the cynic in me, but that wasn’t him staying he will be here. He said “yes” to whether he is committed to the club. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take that over some woolly “let’s wait and see what happens”, “not looking beyond the next game” type blarney.

Town Topic: Gamechanger Takeover Four Years On
at 13:34:29

That chaotic, beautiful, loud, joyous, friendly, uplifting, messy night of celebration around the town when we got promoted to the Prem. One homogeneous mass of kindred souls, simultaneously exercising 20 years of hurt, banality and decline. A never ending stream of smiles, laughs, hugs, songs and good will. I will remember that night for the rest of my life.

McKenna: Challenges This Season Not Linked to Playing Style
at 17:04:24

We have clearly changed the way we play this season. Not a wholesale change, but various changes at various times. That criticism could be levelled at Russel from what I saw, but not KM. BTW, that doesn’t necessarily mean that KM has got it right all the time, far from it. For my money, we’ve been a bit too open and expansive at times, when a sit deep, 5 at the back may have been better. But I don’t work in football, KM is a clever, clever coach, so what do I know!

Slicker: I Love This Place
at 13:53:08

What a happy place our club now appears to be. Just one more indication of how far the club has come in a few short years. I really do have to pinch myself sometimes to think this is the same place as the McCarthy/Hurst/Jewel/Shambert/ Fvkin charlatan, ruined the club, makes my blood boil, twonk Evans, period. My first game was in 1975, and I am as content as I think I’ve ever been. These Are The Days. UTT.

Hutchinson: Ipswich Town Will Always Have a Place in My Heart
at 22:22:10

It all sounds like a goodbye doesn’t it? But, like a girlfriend that has dumped me, but hasn’t actually said the words “it’s over”, I cling onto the faintest hope, the hope that stops my heart completely breaking in two. Think we have been very lucky to have had one season watching this young man play for us. Good luck with whatever comes next, Omari, you deserve it.
