 | News Comment | Hutchinson: Ipswich Will Always Have a Place in My Heart at 21:45:48
A special thank you to the tv commentators in the Euro U21s. They bigged him up so much when he was average at best. He'd still be here if they hadn't, but we wouldn't have the £37.5m. Maybe they should ask his agent for a slice. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Azón Deal Not Yet Complete at 17:46:02
JB could be right. After all our speculation and some vitriol, Akpom's delay turned out to be down to International Clearance. Maybe some of the civil servants are still working from home. |
 | News Comment | Butcher: I'd Have Made Omari Train on His Own at 23:10:38
I said te same thing on this platform a few days ago. But that more short term until he's sold. I wouldn't let him anywhere near the group. I can't understand young players or their agents holding this club to ransom. Delap and Hutchinson having release clauses in their contracts. OH refusing to play Tyreece Simpson holding the club to ransom. While Delap caused us financial pain, Hutchinson did us a favour. There is no way on this planet Hutchinson is worth £37.5m. If there hadn't been a £35m release clause, we'd be lucky to get £25m. It'll be a massive relief when it's all sorted. I believe he will be an amazing player, but he's nowhere near that now. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Hutchinson Didn't Feel That He Could Contribute Today at 15:42:05
I think Sunday is the defining moment for these guys. We will have received offers that we can accept or not. If not then they have to be available to play. There mist be an area at Playford Road were they can go and train on their own. Maybe with the rehab players and dont name them in the 25 man squad. Surely their agents have a duty of care and responsibility as well. |
 | News Comment | Eight Changes For Blues at Bromley at 19:20:02
Davis must be super human. Leif is a good old Viking name. If he adds goals to his armoury, he'll be Championship player of the season. COYB |
 | News Comment | Chaplin: We Know We Need to Be Better and We Will Be at 08:38:31
Yes we've heard it all before. We were poor in the first game of 23/24 against Sunderland. We then improved and got automatic promotion. People have short memories. If Omari wants to go then we wish him well. But for now he's a Town player and he needs to step up. If Forest want him that badly then we'll take Chris Wood in psrt-ex and/or a decent U21 left back. We'll soon find out how keen these teams are. Let's trust the whole process and reserve judgement. I'm looking forward to tonight. COYB |
 | News Comment | No Bids For Davis, Town Won't Sell This Window at 10:46:16
I'm sure it will have been said, but if Broadhead and Hutchinson could give us some top performances this month, then they would leave with our blessing come the end of the month or in January. We need you guys. It's time to pay back what we've done for you. |
 | News Comment | Birmingham City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 12:21:42
Clarke got his goals and player of the season in the championship as an out and out left winger. He isn't playing there because of Davis. Davis needs to start scoring goals. I believe he's been practicing his finishing. He should have finished that chance last night or cut it back. If he starts getting goals he'll be amazing. If Clarke gets a chance at LW we'll be very strong in that area. Johnson plays better pushing on in front of a more natural RB or back three. The wide areas are definitely where we can excel in this league. |
 | News Comment | Birmingham City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 11:41:16
Get used to the standard of referees in the championship. They're not bent just crap. Clarke was great in pre-season but he was back to his headless chicken impersonations. Taylor gave the ball away at least four times in dangerous areas. O'shea needs to boss the back-line. Him and Greaves will be a good set up but it looked all over the place. Brum aren't good at playing out from the back but we never even looked liked trying to exploit that. Many of our lads are too lightweight for this division and our back four is too slow. Better teams than Birmingham will exploit that. It was just great to spoil the BBC/Sky brummie love fest. BTW, VAR would definitely have awarded that penalty. You have no right to have your hands in that position. What were they doing there? We move on. Looking forward to seeing the kids on Tuesaday. COYB |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Hirst Primed For Good Season at 10:47:06
Delap and Hirst are both a great outball to relieve pressure. The big difference is that Hirst wins free-kicks while Delap gives away far too many free-kicks. I just hope Hirst can stay fit. |
 | News Comment | Aberdeen 1-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 21:43:10
Great workout and result. I think the 1st team is starting to take shape as well as a half decent cup side. Sadly one or two won't make the cut. COYB |
 | News Comment | Town Closing in On Completing Kipré Loan Signing at 22:45:41
Burgess was overlooked early on last season and may have felt hard done by. Moving forward, we will have done our homework on these two potential signings, especially considering the modern scientific assessment tools that may be available to us this time around. Exciting times ahead. COYB |
 | News Comment | Ashton: We Have to Look at Recruiting a Different Type of Player at 16:58:16
There is nothing fair about FFP. Newly promoted clubs do not compete on an equal footing with established PL teams. We can't offer 5 year contracts on PL wages and agents insist on release clauses. We simply can't attract PL quality players. The system is broken not ITFC. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town Fixtures 2025/26 at 13:57:01
Bangalore The last time we were in the championship, the standard was appalling and very disappointing. Apart from the top four, only Coventry, Hull and West Brom tried to play but only because it was the end of season scramble for play-off places. |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson's England U21s Reach Euros Semi-Finals at 16:30:14
I also liked him when he played a bit deeper last night. He provided a good outlet and linked defence and attack. He shows intelligence beyond his years. I think a good move for us this year would be if we could loan him out. Maybe to a top tier overseas club. Or we could just keep him although I can't see it happening. |
