 | News Comment | McKenna: Burgess and Tuanzebe Talks Ongoing For a While at 09:17:10
Axel thinks at a different level. In the Prem it's almost instinctive. By the time you've thought about it it's often too late. That's what we were missing this season. Axel has that speed of thought and hopefully others have gained from the experience. |
 | News Comment | Promoted Pair Linked With Hirst at 09:35:31
We need to cash in on some of our other assets. Delap, Davis, Hutchinson. It's about FFP survival. Nothing to do with football. Hirst can do a great job for us with Keifer Moore as back-up. The lack of a third striker has hurt us due to injuries and suspensions. It's time to produce some young talent of our own to support the main squad. |
 | News Comment | Cunha to Miss Wolves' Portman Road Visit at 12:09:08
I think the FA missed a trick is time around. On top of his ban and fine following our game, he should have been given a suspended punishment. Eg: A 2 match ban and fine to be automatically added to any ban incurred for future indiscretions. I think a 5 match ban his time would have been fair. It's almost a shame though that he's not playing against us. Imagine the reception he would have received at PR. |
 | News Comment | FA Charge Wolves Forward Cunha at 02:47:30
When he assaulted the Ipswich security chappie, as well as the two match ban and fine, he should have been given a two match ban suspended for six months. He would now be facing an automatic five match ban for the red card for violent conduct. I also think the police should get involved in such cases if they don't think the FA's punishment is severe enough. |
 | News Comment | Manchester United 3-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:15:48
I'm very sad. Pedestrian transition, especially Clarke. Although he is getting better, there is absolutely no point in having him and Davis on the same pitch. He plays in areas where Davis is one of the best in the league. Get the ball in the box guys and yhings can happen. Delap the bully, outbullied by McGuire. Why wasn't Delap marking McGuire at set pieces. I'm not a big fan of Muric but he commands the box better than palmer. |
 | News Comment | Coventry City 1-4 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 12:39:47
Well done lads. Lampard - Ignoring the goals and the stats, you had a few powder-puff shots that just about reached our keeper. Possession doesn't create chances, Clarke was obviously MOM but Massimo had a fantastic game when he came on. He was 'Every f'n where'. New keeper looks assured and Hirsty was at it. Broadhead was almost at his best and Jaden is showing signs. Let's continue the good feeling into the Prem. COYB |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Cajuste's Trained All Week, Szmodics and Chaplin Still Out at 16:01:13
Hutchinson has been struggling for a couple of weeks but who hasn't against the quality of opponents we've had to face.Clarke hasn't yet reached the levels we were expecting but there's no doubt he's a talented player. Cajuste is a good player but struggling with fitness. Thankfully, Phillips seems to have turned a corner.COYB |
 | News Comment | Al-Hamadi Completes Stoke Loan Move at 23:12:16
This is good business for ITFC. If he performs, he will carry valuable Championship experience into next season. Either for us or for a new club if we should stay up. If Walters and Robins see him as a replacement for Tom Cannon, that's high praise. I hope he earns it. |
 | News Comment | Edmundson Recalled From Boro Loan at 22:12:30
I remember something similar happened with Tyreece Simpson at Swindon. That was rumoured to be something to do with contractual legalities of being out on loan in the last six months of a contract. I don't think we ever got to the bottom of it. |
 | News Comment | Blues Linked With Brighton Forward Enciso at 12:31:06
He's 20. Not part of the named squad unless he's on loan. We've got plenty just like him. Al Hamedi needs to be replaced by a Centre Forward. |
 | News Comment | Blues Linked With Brighton Forward Enciso at 11:35:26
A Permanent deal would make more sense because of his age but a loan deal makes no sense at all. He's a decent player, but I don't think he would improve our squad, he would just be one more option. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: There Will Be Changes But It's a Special Competition at 07:20:44
Guys, just Google 'Release Clause' and stop arguing. If city have included a £30m release clause and buy back in the deal then there is nothing you or I can do about it. The argument should be, if it was included, why would we allow such a clause? Maybe it was the only way to get the deal done and who could have predicted how well he would perform? Maybe we saw it as an insurance policy should we be relegated. I guess we'll never know. Hopefully, come 1st Feb, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Godfrey Loan Signing at 16:16:48
Good signing. Davis was brilliant today but we can't keep asking him to play 90 minutes every week. That was a very tired tackle for their second penalty. BG will probably play in the cup. Welcome Ben |
 | News Comment | Godfrey Medical Completed at 20:33:58
Jack Clarke was an out-and-out LW for Sunderland and was brilliant at it. He won't get many chances to do that here unless Davis gets injured or banned. Godfrey can offer cover at LB to give us that option. Similarly on the right in the absence of Tuanzebe. He can also operate as a CB in a 3 or 4. KMcK likes versatility in a player so this works (hopefully). Does anyone remember Conor Townsend? He'll do a great Job for someone. |
