Ashton on Land Purchase, New Pitch and Other Infrastructure Work
at 11:40:54 refreshing to see someone with a vision for the club going forward, with going forward being the prime direction.
There are also easy wins too, with the existing facilities.
Internet access (as already mentioned)
Better Hand-dryers (and more of) in the toilets...just working would be a start
Taps that provide water to more than one person using them (including hot water)...especially in today's climate

However...Good to see the 'pop up' bar where service is so much quicker...well done ITFC
Bradford Among Clubs Targeting Holy
at 17:51:59

I certainly rate Holy above Hladky.
Unfortunately played most of his Town games behind a very charitable defence.
Certainly would not want to stay if he is deemed 3rd choice
Good luck to him an whatever comes next in his career, and Thanks !!
Kenlock Joins Colchester On Loan
at 17:20:11

Another one IMO ruined by McCarthy
When called upon came in and played really well, but as soon as the senior pro (Knudsen) was fit, Myles was dropped. This happened all too often under Mick...unfortunately
Good luck Myles, I hope it works out for you !!!
Former Celtic Boss Lennon Linked
at 10:55:45

Any manager that is dynamic and not just stuck in one system where Plan C looks exactly the same as Plan B which is also identical to Plan A.
A manager that just does not keep doing the same thing week after week...and expects different results
We have proven with McCarthy, Lambert and now Cooke that this is not the way to go with stubborn aging managers who are ultimately one trick ponies !!!
We have become predictable and other managers are beating us with tactics over ability.
Karl Robinson would be my first choice, if not then I believe we should look abroad
Cook: We Deserved to Win
at 19:03:56

Not really sure any team deserved the win.
Not wanting to ne too negative but we will need a Plan B and a Plan C if we are to get out of this League, not a Plan C that looks like Plan B and a Plan B that looks exactly the same as Plan A
I like what Cook has put together but there is a time and a place to change the approach with say 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 or anything x-x-2 if I am honest.
Today Oxford to their credit had done their homework as stopped Burns and Edwards, but we just continued to do the same (different personnel) and hope for a different result...and then gave last season L1 top scorer 5 mins !!!
Lincoln City 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report

Yeeessss !!!
Get in there...COYB !!!
Onwards and Upwards !!!
Ipswich Town 2-2 Morecambe - Match Report
at 15:27:06

Harper and Evans absolute class.
Is nice to praise an Ipswich No.4 and No.8
These two would not out if place in the Championship.
Jackson on Target But U23s Lose at Chelmsford
at 10:19:43

I may be in the minority, but I rate Jackson as a striker, but like all strikers you have to give them service...even Harry Kane !!!
One up top and lump the ball forward is no good to anyone. From what I have seem from Jackson so far this season has made some great runs and had good movement and when has the ball looks to make that telling pass.
I am not sure why all this negativity towards him, apart from it seems he was a Hurst signing !!!
Jackson is an option that gives pace and energy that the current strikers do not provide.
OMO he needs to be given a chance and with such a small squad, will be needed !!!
Warnock Considering Coulson Swap Deal
at 16:39:06

Wily managers know we have players who for whatever reason have no future at this club, but that is no reason to just get rid
I know many of you will not agree (as he was a Hurst signing) that Jackson has goals in him (certainly in this league) if given anything that can be classed as service. Lump the ball to him and hope you get something out of it is not service !!!
With this in mind a swap for Coulson is not in the best interest getting a 23yo player with less than 30 appearances in english football (14 in L2)
If as swap for either if these would have to include a decent 'wad' of cash.

That said, if Cook is not going to play them...whatever the circumstances then they need to be moved on, however not cheaply just to get rid !!!
More Championship Clubs Linked With Downes
at 15:38:05

Let the bidding begin
We have already turned down £1.6 million and the circumstances are still the same. In fact our hand is probably a bit stronger with the new owners coming in
He is a top player still at a L1 Club, so if you want him then let us see the colour of your money !!!
Rotherham are doing just that with Crook, except Downes is going to a higher league where they have much more money !!!
Bidding starts at £2m+ and see who wants him.
Gone (hopefully) are the days where we let players go cheaply or even for nothing
Blues Legend Mariner Dies
at 10:54:53

I'd walk a million miles just for one of your goals....Paul Mariner...ooohhh...Mariner !!!
True LEGEND !!!

Often over used but not here !!!
Absolute LEGEND !!!
RIP Paul
Huws on Trial at Doncaster
at 09:59:21

Interesting that he signed on a 'free transfer', as twtd were reporting (at the time) that he was signed by McCarthy for in excess of £1m !!!
I am sure under a new regime Huws will prosper (have less injuries) and become the good Championship player that he showed glimses of.

Good Luck Emyr !!!
Pre-Season Training - Photos
at 13:38:18

You are 100% correct wrt fitness and something Hurst highlighted as soon as he got here
However as we have seen, there were so many players here at the club all sitting in their cosy little comfort zone not wanting any change or even the chance to better themselves.
Hopefully with this attitude now gone and players signed with ambition we should see an improvement all round.
Hopefully one of the new signings will be a real leader on the pitch.
I believe the real missing links from the signings so far is Sonny Bradley from Luton.
IMO he is everything we have been lacking and would have driven this club back into the Championship of that I have no doubt.
Hopefully we are still looking to address this void !!!
Dozzell's QPR Move Confirmed
at 17:01:11

Good Luck Andre
I think this is a very good move for you.
It does however again highlight how comfortable it is / was here for a number of players (as Andre has admitted himself), many of whom have now been moved on.
Disappointed it has not worked out for him here, but that is just football
Onwards and upwards for all parties
COYB !!!
Edwards Linked With Wigan Move
at 11:33:53

I think he is a decent player but unfortunately not played enough where he would be most effective
Too often found covering defensively for the RB (perhap that is what people are saying when they say he went missing offensively ???) when he was most effective going forward on the left hand side.
IMO this is a mistake as I rate Edwards as an attacking force.
Also it is difficult creating things with only one player in the opponents penalty box which unfortunately was too often the case !!!
Speculation on Town's Available Players Gets Under Way
at 14:10:10

Bluesaway you are Correct. Hurst identified the same issues as Cook has (as did Keane), with lack of fitness, lack of commitment and a lack of aspiration with many players sulking at Mick being shown the door and not willing to embrace change, and Hurst not being able to move them on.
Waghorn was offered 3 x what we are paying him to sign for derby, and that is no different to when we signed Norwood, we offered him 3 x what he was earning at Tranmere.
As you say, hopefully Cook has a plan and has chance to carry out this plan.

I believe these are exciting times at ITFC and a real chance to change the direction of this Club and make everyone prod to be associated with ITFC
U18s Exit Youth Cup as Liverpool Come From Behind
at 20:57:44

Great performance and one the players and us the supporters can be proud of.
Seemed to play in a formation that everyone was comfortable with and was able to change to suit the situation.
Well Done Lads and Well Done Adem Atay
Edwards MK Dons Talks Claim
at 13:37:11

Started the season well, but spent most of the time covering his Full Back, which ultimately leads to a less forward thinking formation.
I personally would like us to sign him up, but as people have said, if we really wanted him then we should have signed him before now.
No one should blame him in trying to get himself a contract, as he needs to look after himself and his family...especially if ITFC have not offered anything concrete
Good luck in whatever you do Gwion
