You do have a point. But I can only say that in my row and the one in front, 97% of ST holders are there for every home game.

I’m looking forward to hearing the shrewd analysis of those very occasional visitors to Portman Road who have been lucky to get tickets for this match. If they sit near me I will give them a warm welcome - except of course they won’t, because I and my fellow ST holders will all be in our seats, as we have been for year after year, investing in our team and vigorously supporting them.

I only expected one extra ticket, as I was able to get for the Leicester and Southampton games. Of course I understand the increased demand and interest in the club. But to use a previous poster’s phrase, I’ve ‘invested’ 20 years of season ticket holding, watching this club through some dire years. For what could be our most important game in decades I think I’m entitled to be ahead in the queue of others who have watched a handful of games this season.
For what it’s worth, I also agree with the previous poster who said that those who watched Town on a wet and windy night in Grimsby in 2011 should get preference well beyond me (albeit impossible to work out). I go to every home game but don’t get to many away fixtures.
Anyway, I’m just about over this gripe now! COYB, whoever you are at PR on the 4th!

Can someone explain the logic - or iniquity - of this ballot for Huddersfield tickets? I’m a season ticket holder (ie I’ve seen 20 home games) and a Super Blues member, yet I’m not going to able to get any more tickets for family and friends? Why do non- season ticket holders, who have invested far less in the club, get preference for such an important match?

Pablo on his Town return

Interesting that he’s gone into coaching. Remembering his technical ability, Pablo would have been a perfect fit for McKenna’s possession-based playing style.

Ramsey, Robson...Lampard
at 21:26 21 May 2018

This has surely been pointed out before, but Lampard wouldn't be the first to take over at Portman Road with a glittering playing career behind him but very little managerial experience.

Ramsey - aged 35, no managerial experience when he took over.
Robson - aged 36, one bad experience (Fulham), little to recommend him then..

So what's wrong with Lampard, aged 39, no managerial experience, but like Ramsey and Robson, a fine international playing career....

He could inspire our crop of talented young midfielders, and would bring a real buzz to the place.

Dunkirk - the film
at 18:25 24 Jul 2017

Historical inaccuracies aside - lack of men on the beach, over emphasis on the 'little ships' - I thought it was a magnificent, moving film. For me, the aerial battles were the most compelling, but Mark Rylance was superb as the quietly determined, instinctively patriotic pleasure boat captain. Best of all was the superb score by Hans Zimmer: I was nearly in tears as the Spitfire came to rest. If you thought Saving Private Ryan was the best 'in the moment' depiction of warfare, think again after watching this.

Andre Dozzell
at 11:53 15 Jan 2017

I was excited by Dozzell's performance yesterday. I liked the way he always demanded the ball, and when he got it he mostly played it off first time smoothly and expertly. He produced some great turns, and one or two lovely, languidly-struck crosses into the six-yard box - which someone like Murphy might have capitalised on. It was also great to see the beginnings of a good understanding with Tom Lawrence, the two of them finding each other easily and instinctively with passes. Despite our defensive frailties, I hope we persist with 3-5-2 which gives Andre a platform to perform.
