I have to agree with Les57 on this one. I did not think Chambo had a bad game (howler aside obviously) . I don't think berating him will help either. You have to trust PL to pick who he see's to be the best XI for each match. Chambo must show what it takes in training to get picked. I don't think for one minute that PL would hesitate to drop him should it be necessary. That said, it was a dreadful howler that a pro with his experience should not be making. Lets hope it was one off. Overall a great team performance and should have been three points. Onward and upwards to Peterborough #COYB |

Just to play devils advocate, Knudson is not the best left back on the planet but he is very much good enough for League One. Lets not disguise the fact that league one is where we are heading guys/girls. Its not what I / we obviously wanted but facts are what they are and I would now like the Jan signings (Who ever they might be) to be ones that are geared towards getting promotion back to the Championship. Norwich and Man City have been down in the lower divs in the past and look at them now. I actually dont think that this imminent relegation will be the disaster that some suggest. I Really don't get the negativity on here. PL has had two games in charge and already the team is playing far better than I have seen in many a year. He has taken over a sinking ship and he cant be expected to turn that around in two games. Playing like we did yesterday especially in the first half and we will win more games this season than we will lose. Don't forget that you have to steady a sinking ship before saving it. |

Well written blog. Tonight's game at Derby could give us our first win, then on to Sheffield Wednesday who are struggling and then the Budgies who also have not had a great start and have been messing about with Pink paint instead. We could well end up on a three match winning run....or not as the case maybe and that as you say is the beauty of football. You pay your money to be entertained at the end of the day, MM style football ended up stopping me bothering to travel down from Hull for home games as it just was not worth the entrance fee and expense to get there and back. PH on the other hand has got me back in the car again. Thats the difference. Long may it continue. Keep the fans entertained and the results will inevitably come. We might not hit the dizzy heights of the Prem anytime soon but we will at least get some enjoyment and entertainment out of our £30 ticket. Long may it continue. |

Torn here as he was a mini legend for the club and he obviously wants the chance to impress. Lacks experience but from the quoted CV he seems to galvanise the teams he has managed and is willing to go the extra mile when required for the squad so why not give him a chance ? - Think however in reality ME will go for one of the "Merry Go Round" managers as they are more of a safe bet than someone like Shefki. Shame, but think that is what will happen sadly. |

That was some "Love In" with MM at the press conference !. Things always run their course and come to an end. MM has had his time and good luck to him elsewhere but for now all I want is a good choice for the new manager. The Cowley brothers look the best bet and I would like to see someone such as George Burley in some sort of Director of Football role. Just please ME don't appoint one of the "Merry Go Round Managers" such as Pardew or Mclaren. Fingers crossed for the right team to be appointed. |

The press conference is interesting as he says that the more stick he gets the more belligerent and stuck in the mud he will be and he knows that a contract extension is not what the fans want but "Be careful what you wish for" meaning I would love another 2 years at the helm just to pi*s off the hecklers ! |

I have tried to be patient and try and look at the positives about MM years in charge but enough is enough now. The players try every week and I don't think it is a case of losing the dressing room but its MM that trains the team all week and lays down his "Must not lose first and foremost" philosophy so the buck stops with him. The current trend of performances and results are not going to change with him in charge. God forbid what it would be like next season if he gets more time in the dugout. I keep refreshing the TWTD page hoping for good news but so far today none has appeared sadly. |

I was at the match yesterday and it was yet another typical MM Selection and style of play. We won, that was great but the hoof ball was there for all to see. The first half was dire. Two poor sides cancelling each other out. Second half was an improvement of sorts, Town definitely improved and never really looked like losing although after the equaliser there were a couple of nervy moments but the Owls seemed to switch off and looked very nervy in front of their home support. How Hyam stayed on as long as he did is beyond me, it was a poor night for him. Ward did well when he came on, he at least went at the full backs and looked a threat. Waggy was star of the show with his two goals. The free-kick was special it has to be said. Overall a shaky performance ending in a pleasing result. The lads looked really pumped afterwards which was good to see, roll on stuffing the Tigers on Saturday. Hopefully a more attacking line up will be chosen, Ward deserves a start. Prediction : Town 2-1 Hull |

I really dont think we will ever go any further than the Championship with ME and MM at the helm but I do have to stick up for MM somewhat with regards the post match comments. Surely, as adults, You cant abuse someone from terraces for 90 mins then get all touchy about a few swear words aimed in your direction?. I am not a fan of the football he has the team playing but as for the banter, its tit for tat surely. You cant chuck sh*t at some one and not expect a bit back. |
