| Forum Thread | Team for Leeds at 05:38 21 Oct 2018
Shambles it was but it's gone now. Time for the fans to pick a team for Leeds. Bart Donacien Pennington Chambers Knudsen Skuse Edwards Nolan Downes Graham Jackson Reason for selection: Damage limitation. Play as poorly as yesterday and the formation won't matter I suspect but we really need to avoid a spanking or it really could be game over already. |

That's the worst game and performance from Ipswich I have seen in a long while. No structure, no commitment, no ideas. Utter rubbish. Play like that on Wednesday against Leeds and we will be hammered without a doubt. I could go on but I'm too furious 😡 |

I agreed with PH approach this time around as it was certainly warranted. Some may argue that those comments should be left in the dressing room or toned down for the press but on this occasion I agree. However, should it be common place then it may point to some deeper issues. You only have to think back to the Phil Brown finger wagging episode to his Hull players on the pitch at Man City to see where that got him. My hope is that the likes of Skuse and Chambo will back the manager and remind the new boys and the younger ones that PH is the manager and re-iterate his message. |

Quite agree. Give the management and the team some time to gel and things will be fine. I would like to see another formation tried however just to see if two up front will work. Also would like Kenlock at left back instead of the unreliable Knudson. Some Championship experience at center back in the loan window please PH. All will be well you will see. #IHWT #COYB |

Is Kenlock not fit as he would be a much better choice than Knudsen at the moment. He had a shocker last night. |

And so he should be. The second half performance was unacceptable. Recruited from leagues one and two is no excuse. The fans can accept the skill level may lack somewhat but a lack of effort is not acceptable from the Premier League downwards. Much better required against AV or we could be on the end of a thrashing. |
| Forum Reply | Bloody hell Kuqi what have you done! at 17:02 12 Apr 2018
I am in Kuqi camp for the following reasons... 1. Do we want one of the "Merry Go Managers" who doesn't give a flying **** about Ipswich Town. NO 2. All the other managers such as the lads at Lincoln do not have any track record to speak of apart from the lower leagues. They also may want the job but again have no real allegiance to Ipswich. Do we want them as manager.....Maybe, certainly more that we want choice NO.1 3. Do we want an ex-Ipswich player (Mini Legend) who like choice 2 above has no real experience apart from lower league football be it English or otherwise BUT .. Has a great love for the club and from the CV posted earlier on TWTD shows that he would at least go the extra mile when ever required to get the right results. He has had limited success and seems to have got the best from what ever squad he has inherited. For me that ticks all the boxes I require. We are not going to get anyone such as Benitez @ Newcastle so Kuqi as an outside punt is worth a go for me. Nothing is guaranteed in football but he just might be the ticket to some entertainment @ PR and just maybe turn out to be a gem in the making. I could be 100% wrong but it would certainly get me excited about my beloved club again. #kuqiformanager |

I was at the match yesterday and it was yet another typical MM Selection and style of play. We won, that was great but the hoof ball was there for all to see. The first half was dire. Two poor sides cancelling each other out. Second half was an improvement of sorts, Town definitely improved and never really looked like losing although after the equaliser there were a couple of nervy moments but the Owls seemed to switch off and looked very nervy in front of their home support. How Hyam stayed on as long as he did is beyond me, it was a poor night for him. Ward did well when he came on, he at least went at the full backs and looked a threat. Waggy was star of the show with his two goals. The free-kick was special it has to be said. Overall a shaky performance ending in a pleasing result. The lads looked really pumped afterwards which was good to see, roll on stuffing the Tigers on Tuesday. Hopefully a more attacking line up will be chosen, Ward deserves a start. Prediction : Town 1-1 Shef UTD / Town 2-1 Hull |

I do believe Bradford have adopted a similar scheme under their new German owners. Their ground is packed out on a regular basis and they very nearly gained promotion. ITFC Really does need to get its head around a different system as if not we are doomed to relegation at some point in the very n ear future. 51 points is the benchmark for next season. Anyone confident that we will easily reach this figure with the current squad?. I for one am not. |
