| Forum Thread | PSR (FFP)....looks like Leicester getting away with it again at 10:19 14 Jan 2025
Hoping lightning doesn't strike again. Remember last time we got relegated they went into admin like us but we're able to retain players while we had to have a fire sale. Leicester have this time stuck 2 fingers up by refusing to give information to PL and EFL. In fact looks like they have escaped punishment by getting relegated so falling between 2 leagues rules and having clever lawyers that have got them out of it. |

but would pick Walton over BOTH. VH was excellent 1st half of season but suspect 2nd half. Excellent with ball at feet but general handling and positional sense was always prone to mistakes which in top flight would be exposed |
| Forum Reply | Walton good again (n/t) at 16:43 5 Jan 2025
Walton again solid today. Defence is far more comfortable as they know what the keeper behind them is going to do. 180 mins and only goals conceded were pens. With the 1st one I think Walton looks worse as you can see he realised he was going the wrong way and tried to change mid dive. |

Burgess game time being managed, obviously with Chelsea in mind. Do have to wonder what Walton has to do to get in team. How many mistakes will Muric get away with, seems undroppable? That said let's hope for a big performance from him tonight |
| Forum Reply | Is Hutchinson undroppable? at 13:07 10 Nov 2024
Looks that way. For me been lacking strength at this level this season and loses possession too easy. Last season his trickery evaded contact but with the higher level defending this he is struggling to adjust at the moment. |

I would personally switch the keeper. From what seen pre season and yesterday would have Walton over Muric all day long. Walton has been excellent between the sticks, would have had no concerns with him starting the season. |
| Forum Reply | Walton about to pull at 14:40 17 Aug 2024
Always thought Walton was the better keeper out of him and Hladky anyway. The only area I would say VH was better was ball at feet, we won't be playing out as expansively this season so Walton will be a better fit in the prem out of the 2. VH benefitted from a great start to last season but awasnt as effective 2nd half of season as 1st half. |
| Forum Reply | I have not had the time to read this forum at depth of late - so Hladký ??????? at 15:54 4 Jul 2024
To be honest his biggest strength was playing out not necessarily his glove work. 2nd half of the season more errors crept in but was too dangerous to bring Walton back as no time for him to play his way in. Several of Hladky's saves were actually from poor positioning. In the Premier I think he will be exposed. KM might be sticking with Walton as back up as a more solid all round keeper. |
| Forum Reply | Your top five Ipswich goalkeepers at 15:45 4 Jul 2024
1. Should be no doubt Paul Cooper. Despite size extremely athletic and a very solid all round keeper. Would do ok nowadays playing out from the back as was tidy with feet. 2. Richard Wright 3. Kelvin Davis 4. Bart 5. Craig Forrest just outside Best, Sivell, Walton, Fulop, Alexander (though we only had him briefly, was brilliant during that time) |
| Forum Reply | Hladky news doesn't sound too positive at 18:37 25 Jun 2024
I suspect this means he wants £X now that we have been promoted compared to £Y if in championship. Towns offer is somewhere between the 2 as they aren't willing to go mad with wages and Hladky is still holding out for £X. Knowing they have offer from somewhere like Celtic on the table to fall back on. |

Away 1st and last games of season. Some of the bigger guns on last 6-8 games. Always seem to do it to smaller teams. Also a spell where we have 4-5 games back to back of teams like Man C, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal all at home last day of the season. All recent seasons I can remember all the 'potential' title chasers all seem to be at home now on last game. Would be far better as a neutral if going to last day that they are away. |
| Forum Reply | Do we think McK was actually serious about leaving? at 13:56 28 May 2024
In all honesty think he was quite respectful by his silence. Nothing really came from his side (which is normally the way). Don't believe he was "seaking" a move, more dealing with approaches in a respectful manager. He works very professionally with MA and now believe behind closed doors things were much calmer. Sure there was constant comms between KM and the club. We are going to have to get used to "stories" coming out and increased speculation with things and often things being over exaggerated. Our club over last couple of years has become far more professional in its dealings. |

Would not be against the ballot system we had last time in prem |

And here is the trouble. We have a United squad of players at the moment, do we not remember last time when all of a sudden we signed likes of Sereni and Finidi George and completely unbalanced the squad in terms of players wages . Trust will as always be with MA and KM, as sure they will seek the right characters. |

Was at the Stockport game, also went to all the Anglo Italian home games, including the one where we got beat 4-2 at home by Port Vale. Thought before that game we was a cert for Wembley that season. Work now stops going to many games and couldn't get a ticket for Sat. So great seeing how club is moving forward and looking forward to next chapter in Prem. |

But let's not gloat yet. Need to look after our business, we can gloat once we have. |

I can see Broady playing the central role behind Moore. Would give us guile and creativity by finding little pockets. |
| Forum Reply | Hladky at 08:41 10 Mar 2024
Being honest, the guy has been in superb form this season, however that form and consistancy has dipped in the last 2-3 months. Mistakes have crept in since the Watford away goal. Personally I would have been happy to see Walton come back towards end of Jan as think overall he is the better of the 2. We can't make change now as Walton would need a couple of games and its too risky now. Walton commands and organises the defense too, something we missed badly when Burgess was away. KM knows better than any of us though so go with his judgement. |
| Forum Reply | Is it time to rotate keepers and give Walton his spot back? at 14:02 11 Feb 2024
With the ball at his feet has been a big plus this season, and created openings. However he has given the ball away a few times recently. Would be a massive call to switch but 1 I feel might only might be worth doing. Defense look very uncertain in front of him, Walton is a better organiser and more vocal. Overall feel he is the better of the 2 keepers, but Hladky has been so good this season, especially early part. |
