I don't think Ogbene was ever purchased to be a starter. More of a PL backup. And now after such an injury he's just a too expensive backup. |

I hear you. But can't help but think (esp. after Derby game) both O'Shea and Greaves would be much calmer if they had confidence they won't get a hot potato from their GK at any point |

I would suggest - no medical staff on pitch and no stopping play unless a head or obvious bodily injury. Player must get off the pitch to receive treatment. Cannot come back for at least 2 minutes. |

Agree, one of them maybe, both no way. Unless we are still working on Caceres behind closed doors. Or we count Furlong as a backup CB.
Also have to agree now would be good time to get some money back for Taylor, no way he's staying beyond this season, promotion or not. |

Genuine question.
Seeing how neither Walton nor Palmer are assured enough in starting our possession or just following the play really. Palmer takes so long on the ball and then just passes it to nearest player to get out of his personal trouble, while Hladky used to invite oppo players intentionally to create space. Also, remember how he used to stay high up? Will never forget his one-touch cushion to Morsey away at Middlesbrough. |

A very fair and well written post.
I personally struggle to make this conclusion for myself. On some matters he clearly has evolved and tries to implement new ideas (ie. fullback/wingback midfield roles) but on others we just seem to clearly regress (set pieces being my main issue). |
