 | Forum Thread | Strict contract negotiations at 10:39 15 Jul 2025
I get we can't be held to ransom on contracts but it does feel we seem to tie our hands a little. Hladky last year Morsy and Burgess this year (potentially Axel) I understand the reasonings given age and the player recruitment strategy, but if we look at last season for example and improved contract offer must have been cheaper then the money spent on Music and then the addition of Palmer (fee and wages). |

We risk losing the atmosphere, but the club had no choice! Seen so many grumbles already on Twitter, and yes it isnt ideal and Felixstowe on a Sunday afternoon was very enjoyable, but what alternatives did they have. Portman Road would have obviously been too big and too expensive to run every week. Only alternative I could see would be to pay for Felixstowe to improve their facilities, which I assume they looked in to. But even the surrounding area struggled on matchdays, particularly car parking. |

Thought Sam Barrett was the worst in the last home game. He was equally as poor when he referred West Ham last week |

The way the media portrays politics, there is no good decision a chancellor can make. Increase taxes - "taxes are already high", "same old labour increasing taxes", "we will drive the rich away" Increase borrowing - "borrowing too high already", "same old labour leaving the country in debt" Decrease spending - "Labour are the new Tories with austerity 2.0", "public sector already on it's knees" Personally, I think because of the above and the huge majority Labour have they should have gone bolder to get the country back to full strength. Increase taxes for certain sectors and increase the additional tax rate to 47%. They can then bring taxes back down a year on from the election to get the voters back on side. At the moment everything is too small to make a difference yet what they are doing is being blown out of proportions and creating bad headlines. |

Feel we need either a midfielder that is going to contribute by scoring goals or assisting. So either a box to box late arriving midfielder (Tommy Miller esque) or a playmaker style midfielder (Magilton esque). Atm we have hard working good solid midfielders but they just lack that extra quality in the final third |

There will also be potential profits from sponsorship around the group, particularly as I assume Wardley will be televised. |
 | Forum Reply | A little bit of me is worried there is no VAR in the Championship at 10:32 9 May 2025
It was a clear penalty and red card! I understand the concern, but I would say the number of contentious decisions going against us this year even with VAR was pretty much the same as the number when we were in the championship. I was one calling for VAR at the start but now I wish they just got rid, or replace it with some sort of appeal system where decisions are made by one referee. The idea we need a team of 6-8 referees per game all giving their opinion just makes it farcical. |

Given we do not own Portman Road, does anyone know how the financials of these events will work out for the club? Potentially very lucrative, but just wondering if not owning the venue has a significant impact and if so why aren't the ownership group looking to buy the ground and the surrounding areas (I know they have bought a fair chunk of the land). |
 | Forum Thread | The ref consistency is the most infuriating thing at 00:30 27 Apr 2025
Think whatever you want on that first booking, minor contact or no contact, but if that is a booking for a dive then the referee should be booking 4 or 5 players a game. For example he doesn't give their penalty at first so why no booking for a dive? On top of that compare the Newcastle pen to the one we should have had against Leicester it laughable when VAR chooses to get involved |

If someone makes a decent offer for Davis I'd say cash in now as I don't think his value gets any higher than it is right now |

So we should be we played against Arsenal Our failure this season has been against the likes of Leicester, Southampton, Wolves, etc |
 | Forum Thread | Fk me! at 18:13 20 Apr 2025
So miserable fans on here tonight! We lost to a team that beat Real Madrid midweek, and we only had 10 men for an hour. Get behind the lads! The most disappointing thing for me was looking to the section where 'Blue Action's sit on 90 mins and seeing it had emptied out! |
 | Forum Reply | Are we allowed to criticise Delap yet? at 16:56 8 Mar 2025
I don't think it helps he is consistently having different wingers/no.10s behind him. He hasn't built a proper relationship with anyone. |
 | Forum Thread | Some good things today but similar issues. at 16:55 8 Mar 2025
Our set pieces are awful, it's embarrassing how bad they are. Davis looked poor, worst I have seen him. Delap greedy when simple passes are on, doesn't seem to link up with anyone. We need him to link with others like Hirst and Chappers did last year. Clarke has moments but his end product is severely lacking. Philogene went missing for the 1st half, maybe plan was to mark Eze out of the game? Positives, Wolfenden looked solid, midfield pair had decent games Enciso adds to the attaching threat. |

Ridiculous, was he the only player to concede a soft freekick? |
