I think a couple of the lads on the bench will move in to become regulars so definitely gonna get stronger. Not sure what midfield paring we will see for the majority but good to have that headache. Egeli and Azon both came on and impressed too |
 | Forum Thread | McKenna deserves a lot of praise at 00:11 13 Sep 2025
Without getting too excited as United were pretty poor, McKenna has turned a group of players that have never payed together and most not played his system into a solid looking squad. One thing I really liked tonight was he seems to have reversed on his desire to make Life an inverted fullback which really benefited Philogene. Heard a few fans in the first half moaning that Sheff United were having most of the ball which is a little unlike us. But whether it was the intention or not it really worked, the midfield stealing the ball and turning it over to Philogene caught them out time and strike again. Overall incredible performance given the past few weeks and gives a real positive outlook. |

I've tried to defend him for months thinking surely he will come good. But I just don't see anything in him, he isn't a winger that runs at players, he doesn't create anything and doesn't cut in a take a shot on. |

Happy we aren't wasting money on him, never rated him for Bournemouth. Very lazy player and doesn't fit what we need |

Bring back Evans and Clegg I say! Jesus Christ, most owners stay quiet in the background be grateful for what you have there are some awful owners out there |
 | Forum Reply | Azor Matusiwa one positive today at 17:27 23 Aug 2025
Was the best player on the pitch spoke to a few Preston fans who said he and O'Shea were our only good players. Have to agree based on that |

We are missing the big physical lad up top, the Kieffer Moore, Liam Delap type. |

It is very frustrating seeing these players who have been so good at other clubs look way out of their depth. |
 | Forum Thread | Azor Matusiwa one positive today at 17:22 23 Aug 2025
Thought he was tenacious and composed on the ball, feels like he is carrying Taylor and having to cover the whole midfield. The quicker we can get Cajuste fit the better. |
 | Forum Thread | Mark Ashton at 17:14 23 Aug 2025
Before the start of the season he explained the key aims in the market was to retain players. He also said we need to start looking at more physical players. How has that gone??? I love the guy for what he has done to this club, but think he has had a poor summer. |
 | Forum Thread | What has happened to Leif Davis at 17:09 23 Aug 2025
Looks miles off the pace, balls into the box both inplay and set pieces were woeful. Not saying he is the only issue or even the main issue but the drop off in performance is shocking |
 | Forum Reply | Billing. Available for loan at 13:45 20 Aug 2025
Id prefer a loan here, not completely sold on him so a loan gives us a chance to take a look. Only minor issue is I believe this takes us up to the max for teamsheet (5 loans), given we need another striker, left back and potentially an Omari replacement we may end up with more than 5. Is it worth trying to turn one of the cheaper loans into a permanent? i.e Kirpe? |

Appears a good chance it is a player, but almost 0% chance it is Hojland Be Onana knowing our luck! |

Ashton will have to take a hard look at himself if he cant get this one over the line! |
 | Forum Reply | Lewis Miley, Lewis Cook or Philip Billing... at 15:48 15 Aug 2025
Be tempted to throw some money at Newcastle for Miley, we were offering £15m for Hackney so would say he is worth another £5m? A loan deal for a player like him doesnt help us from a progression stand point as I would assume if he does well they would take him back next year or start a bidding war for him. May be buy with a buy back clause of £35-£40m? That way if we do lose him after a year it comes with profit (like Delap) |
 | Forum Thread | Is the planned sale effecting business at 22:31 12 Aug 2025
All seems very quiet on transfer front given the clear need for strengthening due to players leaving. We have £35-£40 mil sat in the reserves in Hutchinson and Broadhead. Given most of us were looking at the squad last year assuming we had planned for this is even more concerning. I will caveat all the above with its early doors, but given Ashton and Mckenna said early relegation meant we had a headstart in transfers and scoutings seems a little premature now. |
 | Forum Reply | Tick tock Ashton at 22:19 12 Aug 2025
Very concerning where we have ended up given the apparent money we have to spend. We had an agreed bud with Boro for Hackney, are we still planning to spend that? If Hutchinson doesn't want to be here, cash in on £35m and spend on players that do want to be here |
 | Forum Thread | What is our problem with cup competitions at 22:17 12 Aug 2025
Constantly getting embarrassed by lower league clubs. Not to go overboard we have had an incredible couple of years. For me the issue tonight was the front 3/4 mainly Chaplin and AAH they did not offer anything. Defenders were forced to go long as players were not making the correct movement in the final third. Very poor and concerns me that we lack depth given the number of games we will be playing this season |
 | Forum Thread | Strict contract negotiations at 10:39 15 Jul 2025
I get we can't be held to ransom on contracts but it does feel we seem to tie our hands a little. Hladky last year Morsy and Burgess this year (potentially Axel) I understand the reasonings given age and the player recruitment strategy, but if we look at last season for example and improved contract offer must have been cheaper then the money spent on Music and then the addition of Palmer (fee and wages). |
