| News Comment | Lambert: We Lost to the Better Team at 08:39:55
Please don't tell me, you and the players stayed in the changing room for a chat, cup of tea and a custard cream. Chambers will then come out spouting his mouth of about this that and the other and the teams home form. The chat was honest, no arguments etc!! Maybe they need the fergie tea cup treatment now !! |
| News Comment | Andrews: PLC Shares Have Little If Any Value at 00:38:43
I have a gut feeling that we are going to enter administration. Fleece the supply chain, then we go again. Sorry I'm not a business person and don't understand it all. I'm a football fan who wants his team to do well |
| News Comment | MacAnthony: EFL Could Be Open to Lawsuits Over Blues and Wycombe Facing Bolton Youngsters at 06:55:15
Can I assume that this bloke has nothing better to do with his time considering how successful the club is with a top end stadium, sell out crowds week in week out. Oh I did forget the manager who goes down in British folklore for how well his done so far in both his managerial career and playing career. That even includes the time your daddy got rid of you because you were a failure!! The voice of football has spoken |
| News Comment | Sections of Ground Closed for FA Cup Tie at 09:15:22
In all due respect, it's Lincoln City and not Man City. Guess closing certain sections helps reduce the costs on stewarding, caterers etc. The club are probably aware that they will over a particularly big crowd. |
| News Comment | Lambert: Outstanding First Half as Well as We've Played at 07:02:38
Another great win. The prove is in the pudding. Win games, you get bums on seats. To take best part 3500 fans to MK is amazing. Not many top tier teams would achieve that. Ok I do appreciate that it may well be one of the easier mid week games and not travelling to Fleetwood on a Tuesday January night. It still takes some doing. By all accounts the lads had to work hard in the 2nd half but a win is a win. Again win games you have happy smiley faces and fans turning up again. |
| News Comment | Keane Reignites Walters Spat at 17:33:56
Isn't it strange that Mr Keane says that Walters talks a good game. Keane has spent his career doing a lot of talking. Big Eric at Utd talked a good game, but he could back it up. Maybe just maybe after the success that Mr Keane has had as a manager as the sense he talks whilst doing the media stuff he may want to lay low a while himself and be quite. His not selling himself particularly well!! |
| News Comment | Bury Expelled From EFL as Bolton Have 14 Days to Complete Takeover at 09:51:34
It is a real shame. Surely there has to be a point where the relevant organisations need to step in. Doesn't have to be financial. Surely it can have the power to take the rains of the club and find a suitable owner/buyer. I appreciate they have been given time but I guess both Bolton and Bury will not get the vast sums that the like of city and Utd get. Partly due to the big boys being a more attractive project. We are in some ways in a similar boat. We don't have the trendy city lights of London or Manchester. But there are other ways round the situation. The EFL need to step up. It's always easy to say do this that and the other by a certain date. There has to be a reason why these deals keep on collapsing. Is it greed ? These club are more than a football club. They are part of the local community. Furthermore, people have lost their jobs, there living, there source of income. Football has become a poison and greed. It's ethically not right. Peoples are now unemployed. The community loses its soul. Football is more than money. Unfortunately I've a gut feeling there is more to come. |
| News Comment | Bolton Boss Departs Ahead of Town Visit at 03:29:35
Putting things such as the clubs history etc to one. Similar to Bury, clubs like these are important within the local area socially. Furthermore, without some form of support, it messes with people's lives. Guessing like all clubs, they create a fair amount of employment in the area. Point I'm trying to make is that these clubs are more than a football club within the local area. People for many reasons depend of the clubs |
| News Comment | Town Reiterate Stance on Antisocial Behaviour After Racist Chants at Luton at 17:38:53
Myself being married to a woman of a different culture and colour with 2 children, unfortunately I have experienced such comments. Firstly was a lad who was in the same year as my eldest a couple of years back. Thank god the school was fantastic with how they dealt with it. Secondly was a comment made to me about having mixed race kids and they guy didn't know. He was most apologetic when my colleague made him aware. My youngest also had comments aimed at him. Lastly my eldest and his mate whom is of a different colours had comments made against them whilst playing under 11 football. My lad who had just turned 11 was in tears and scared. Each time the offending person was dealt with appropriately. As a husband and father, it is not pleasant seeing people that you care about on the receiving end. Unfortunately it is still in existence in all walks of life and should not be accepted, but to a degree still is and not always highlighted. As most people are fully aware, many of these people are well educated and do jobs that suits there skill set. Point being, is that if these people in the Ipswich end (supporters or not I/we don't know) were to be put in the Luton supporters, would they have the balls to sing such songs or make such comments, even if it were tongue in cheek. Unfortunately, I have found through personal experience this mindset comes from parents and lack of education. With that in mind and as the saying goes. A lack of education is dangerous. I do think that as a whole that Ipswich fans are fully accepting of people from different backgrounds et all. The only thing I would ask would be that any of these people are pointed out to both the police and stadium security along with the club, and let the appropriate people deal with these idiots. |
| News Comment | Lambert: No Complaints About Result But Some Positives at 07:07:54
Even though this is no great issue, just extra unwanted games, personally I would like Ipswich to have a serious go at the checkatrade (or whatever it is called now). For the supporters it would be nice to have a day out at Wembley. In all fairness we are presently never going to win the league cup (I know we are out) or not he fa cup. I know there's a bit of a financial benefit but not massive and not really worth getting to excited about. But with the checkatrade thing, at least it will keep the fans on side. Finally, I am still concerned about the lack of transfer activity. It is the defence that is my main concern. Shore up the defence and at least you pick up a point. 1 point gained is better than 3 dropped. You would like to think that with our midfield we will create chances up front and hopefully Norwood will start scoring, |
| News Comment | Lankester to Undergo Surgery on Back Injury at 17:40:33
Sounds like an unfortunate injury. I guess with back injuries, similar to areas like the knee, it has to be treated with the upmost caution. Again I understand they are complex areas. Hopefully he comes back totally refreshed and helps the team push on for what we hope will be a push for promotion. Hear is for a successful rehabilitation. |
| News Comment | U23s Opener Against Bolton Postponed at 15:21:25
Apart from Newcastle, Sunderland and Carlisle surely there aren't to many teams more northern than Bolton!! Gives us plenty of hope that we can get games. |
