A lot of comments on here about the "Old Guard" and a lack of spirit in the team now but the club i suppose were stuck between a rock and hard place as the Premier League demands a better standard of player. The old guard would not have been good enough despite the togetherness. Have we brought in players that are a massive improvement, Im not so sure, but £120 million to only win once at home with only 11 games left would suggest money poorly spent. |

Now being a win and a draw away from 4th bottom and taking goal difference into account, its looking bleak it has to be said. Those fine margins the skipper talks about need to be addressed and soon. Been great to be back in the Prem again after so long away, just a shame we dont quite have the quality at this level. |
