Neighbour disputes are annoying aren't they.
I think it would be unlikely that the police or a local authority would consider it a matter of sufficient public interest to investigate.
I think I am right in saying that Citizens Advise Bureau offer a free 30 minute legal advice session so that could be something to look into, particularly if it happens again.
Any deliberate destruction of a bird nest is a criminal offence under the WCA 1981. Again a matter for the police to enforce in conjunction with Natural England who employ Wildlife Crime Officers. Natural England are not the easiest of organisations to deal with based on my experience. I suspect it comes down to evidence and rarity as others have highlighted.
Accessing your property without permission to do works would be trespass and therefore a civil matter. |

I can in the sense that we are steamrolling teams more and our goal difference is do superior. I think our final 2 games are easier than Plymouths now. They are clutching straws though of course |

Has anyone had difficulties with these and getting issues resolved?
I am due to fly to Uganda tomorrow with Turkish Airlines. I made the mistake of using a booking agency, Go to Gate for the flights. The first leg of our journey was cancelled by the airline from Stansted to Dalaman, just outside of the 14 day period where it becomes the customer's problem not the airline. The rest of our booking remains unaffected.
First world problems I know but we have already invested £4.5k in this trip which was originally booked pre covid in 2019. We are going with a local ground agent in Uganda and have paid for non refundable gorilla permits etc. Our original flights were cancelled, we got a refund and rebooked with a different airline.
We were only offered a refund which was no good to us so we decided to book an alternative flight from Gatwick to Dalaman thinking if we can get to Dalaman then we can just continue with the booking and sort out making a claim later.
I have spent hours in the queue to Go to Gate and they keep telling me I need to speak to the airline and then the airline tell me I need to speak to the booking agency. The agency are telling me that we wont be allowed to board the plane in Dalaman as we will be seen as a 'no show' at Stansted even though the flight has been cancelled and does not exist.
The airline can only intervene with 24 hours of departure but that is for the cancelled flight which is 11pm tonight and we have paid for an earlier flight tomorrow.
I am beyond stressed about it all over what seems to be a simple admin issue to resolve.
What is the point in these booking agencies? They don't seem to be regulated at all. I have written to the chief executive of Turkish Airlines.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom? |
