| News Comment | Town Among Clubs Linked With Swindon Skipper at 12:48:22
not that I am being judgemental in anyway but some people may make snap decisions about his footballing ability considering he got relegated to league 2 " he might just be a bit sh!t...." |
| News Comment | Chambers: Murphy a Massive Loss at 00:01:31
Really disappointed Murphy decided to take early retirement from playing football and move to Newcastle. |
| News Comment | Chambers: Douglas Abuse Unwarranted and Unacceptable at 23:59:43
half hearted scripted bullsh*t .... Milne thinks to himself... Lets wheel out the captain to try and rally some support among the plebs,he can talk about how the treatment being given to players by supporters in unwarrented, even though they pay an extortionate amount of money to watch the top quality hoofing on offer every fortnight plus we can deflect all the cristisism of our amazing manager and then the plebs can argue amongst themselves about whether they should boo individual players for being a bit sh*t or booing the manager for being a stubborn, tactically inept dinosaur who makes decisions based on his on ego rather than what is actually required to win a football match, preferring to scrape a draw from the jaws of victory. Seriously..if Chambo was "jumping" to the defence of Douglas, he would have done it last season when we discovered that Douglas is past his best, slow, cant pass forwards, cant head a ball and cant run....on the plus side he can bang in the odd offside goal which is a massive help......FOMM |
| News Comment | Keane Linked With Icelandic Move at 11:53:46
Perfect job for him.....no promotion to be concerned about(or relegation)...no transfer budget to blow....no player development to stunt....(unless he takes the under 21s too).....the only problem i can see is that their are no trees in Iceland so what are the dogs gonna pee up? |
| News Comment | Keane Linked With Icelandic Move at 15:22:18
Agreed the atmos has suffered the last few years...wasnt that long ago walking to the ground and the hairs on the back of my neck standing up as you could hear the north singing ...inside and outside the ground before kick off...doesnt happen anymore apart from the nutter with the megaphone..hes seems to be an infrequent visitor these days too! |
| News Comment | Andrews Deal Done at 09:30:51
Like this....i know e need a CB aut lets see how young Ainsley gets on over the next 2 games , I cant see Smith playing ahead of him unless he shows some of the World up form from 2010! ...if your good enough your old enough! |
| News Comment | Hull: Ayala Set for Norwich at 15:00:43
i have to agree with retro, the players Norwich have purchased are hardly going to set the league alight, i dont believe they are of the quality needed to compete and stay in the prem...but probably are good enough to do well in the championship the following season!...i also agree with stow however....Lambert is a fine manager and motivator but you need more than motivation to stay in the top division...you need a bit of class and some luck!...ask Ian Holloway..as he walks past the dug out at portman road again this season..... |
| News Comment | Delaney to Train Today at 11:58:28
Daley itfc.....the robson years have long gone, we were a top class team then that could pay and attract good players..thats sadly is not the case now, football has changed immensley in that time and unfortunatley the Robosn years are a mill stone around the managers neck and will continue to be while the comparison exists.....dont get me wrong i enjoyed those years hugely as i was a young lad at the time...hes a part of ITFC folklore and rightly so....i wonder if the Liverpool fans compare there current plight to the days of shankly and paisley? ..... |
| News Comment | Town Targeted Upson and Woodgate at 11:51:45
Shows some ambition to try for those players...if a little unrealistic, maybe it would have been more successful if we had been playoff contenders for the last 2 years rather than spending most of the last 2 seasons in the bottm sections of a p!ss poor league!!!...things are gonna change this year tho..COYB |
| News Comment | Town and Swans Begin Scotland Talks at 13:24:44
I think there are some very harsh comments on here against Scotland. He scored 10 goals last season in which the team was struggling to create, most of those he made himself with a smart turn and shot! Remember that connor scored just 15 goals in 72 appearances, 9 of those goals last season and he went for mega millions! so all in all i belive scotland did ok at town. Yeah he hardly set the place alight but hes by no means the onltyone now is he!!! |
| News Comment | Leicester Agree St Ledger Fee at 14:25:36
algarfan........ Re St Ledger it's not just about the fee, I expect he see's Leicester as a more ambitious club, high profile manager and lots to spend. As a player I can't say I blame him. ........i wonder if leadbitter, edwards and martin saw Ipswich as an ambitious club with a high profile manager with lots to spend.....look how badly that ended!!! expect leicester to be also rans once again this seaon as Sven bails out in january...st ledger was a central defender with a relegated team....they let goals in! ..not sorry hes not joining!!! |
| News Comment | Wickham Sunderland Move Confirmed at 14:14:09
8.1 million!...the figures seem to have been dropping steadily!!! not that im being greedy of course! good luck to the lad and im sure he will make a good impression up there once hes sorted out his heading and first touch!.....now lets see some funds for more players!!! |
| News Comment | Bullard Linked With QPR Talks at 14:38:04
Lets get some perspective here..Jimmy is a good player and stands out at championship level.....would he stand out at premier league level?..no...will his injury woes return as he will have to compete harder each game?...very likely...and if he signs for the budgies on a decent wage at least we will get to see him back in this league in a year!..and hey ..his wages..and those of the other journeyman mercenary premier league hasbeens and fringe players they are bound to sign, will quickly see them into administration following the relegation next season and back into league one again after that!....i feel better again!!! |
| News Comment | Norris After Three-Year Deal With Town at 11:12:47
It was nice to hear the crowd chanting "sign him up" after he scored against Sheff Utd......pity the same chant didnt go up when Delany scored!...he and Mcauley are the rock that our resurgant ipswich town will be based on..so sign em all up! |
