Imo LDs was still able to create chsnces in the Premier League, we just didnt take many of them.... at least woth this one we should be in the driving seat with a decent contract needed to be bought out.
I also agree with the comment about Forests Premier League status , even we made them look fairly impotent at their place and only a slightly dodgy penalty beat us.... it was inability to scor again that day that stopped is getting a point at least. If he gets tempted i will wish him well , hes been great but id suspect we'd be looking to sign a more developed full back than the one we got from Leeds.... it took a lot of good coaching to produce the Leif of last season. |

Theres a simple truth that after promotion last year the club was not in a position to buy the ready made players to help stayin the league. We just wasn't set up for it. I guess we had planned on getting promoted to the championship that it might take a year or two but our brilliant manager managed a minor miracle. Then the plan had to change obviously, we possibly had not been able to scout extensively enough to find those foriegn gems (who knows if the Greek fella might have been a star?) So i think we probably " stuck to the plan" and bought the best of the young Championship talent.... promotion just meant we could buy more of them!.... We are definitely not the same club as we were at the end of the Evans era butthe owners have done well so far yo retain the family feel and thats help us by and large to stay together as a fanbase with the Club. I dont expect sucess next year but i am absolutey sure we wont muck about with not trying to execute the plan which i believe was always a proper push for the Premier League in 2025/26.

It's ridiculous that they think that they have relegation rivals.. even allowing for or depressing defeat on Saturday they are nailed on to go down... I'd have thought their main objective would be preparing for an assault on the championship next year and if the manager wants rid ...does it matter where he ends up financially ? |

My take on that....
TM "thinks" he wants to stay is not the same as "know" he wants to stay...
What sensible career minded footballer tells his current boss he doesn't want to be there?
If the window is not closed that may also indicate its not even open yet.... Fulham would surely want access to their player towards the end of it in case of the need to wiggle on their own prospective deals....
And finally much as I love TM... if he thinks JS is not going to get more than a couple of games with our Current resources and rotation policy then he's just ruled himself out of ever succeeding our current genius! |

Let's be under no illusion here... he's is absolutely huge signing at this level and I would like it to happen. He won't be signed unless KM thinks he can get much more out of him than he produced this year.... thats where the rest of the construction of the team comes in to make the best use of him we are going to need some very intelligent strikers ahead and around him. I hope KM is successful in achieving that |
