OK, fair enough. When Frimmers said throw all the new players in, I don't think he meant it literally. I think he just meant most of them. |

Why not in the real world? The attacking players have been very poor so far this season, why shouldn't some of the new players be given the chance to show what they can do from the start? If they continue to be so powder puff our chances of automatic promotion will disappear very quickly. Players need to play for their place. If they have a poor game then there's definitely an argument that they should only make the bench for the next game. I would bench Hirst today, give everyone a chance to see what Azon can do, and give Hirst a wake-up call that he's not automatically a shoe-in to start every game. I'd also start Akpom and give Egeli a decent amount of minutes off the bench. |

Like that. There is a risk he doesn't know his own Christian name though, apparently. |

Maybe you're gonna be the one that scores three... Cos after all, you're my Sindre Walle Egeli... |

A good read, but I'm confident anyway. We've been toothless up front, but McKenna is far too savvy to allow that to continue. A good win against Derby and things will look very different. |

No mention of Hirst? Thought he had a really poor game, wouldn't have noticed if he wasn't on the pitch. Maybe not his fault as he was given very limited supply. But he also didn't bring other players in to the game anywhere near as much as I would have expected him to. |

This. |

You're probably right. I'm just hoping that we get a couple of quality signings in before the transfer market closes. One forwards and one CM. I would class Akpom as one of them. Makes me nervous that it seems to have been dragging on so long, but hopefully will be announced soon. Like you say, injuries and approaches haven't helped things. And even if we make those signings they are going to take time to gel and fit in with the system. Don't want to miss out on promotion by the smallest of margins, and got a feeling that every point will matter and it will go down to the wire. I wouldn't say I have full on wet the bed yet, just maybe a little damp. |

Fair point. I really hope so. |

However we sugarcoat it, Hayden Hackney not signing is a massive kick in the teeth. |

Who is the one more player who is good enough and available though? Unless we can perform a minor miracle and sign Josh Brownhill, there don't seem to be too many other decent options out there. |

Maybe Hutchinson is different, I'll give you that. But Broadhead isn't, we've been offered 7 million which is surely his maximum, and he doesn't want to be here. |

That's what I think as well. Which wouldn't be so bad, except there doesn't seem to be other players that come anywhere near to being as good as him, who are likely to want to come here. Happy to be proved wrong on that. |
