Such a strange feeling
at 18:31 14 Apr 2024

This. With bells on.

Everybody talking about letting a huge opportunity slip through our fingers. Leeds have got one point from their last 2 home games against Sunderland and Blackburn FFS. Do we not think that they might be feeling the same way? And Leicester have got zero points from their last two games, so again....

All the games are tough now. Players are carrying knocks, players out injured altogether, tiredness and fatigue have set in due to the high turn around of games. Every game is a full on battle now. And there are no easy games.

We might get top 2 and we might not. But we should have as much chance as either of them and a better chance than Southampton of getting there. Leeds and Leicester both have to play Saints and we don't so we should be optimistic that this may help our cause as Saints are a bloody good team.

And we've now got a 2 week break which will help players to recharge their batteries and recover from minor knocks. Which could be massive. It might be even more important than whether or not we have Burns and/or Hirst available for the remaining games.

Alot of supporters not fancying our chances in play offs
at 14:18 12 Apr 2024

If we do miss out on autos and finish up in the playoffs then personally I would prefer to play Norwich in the semis than the final.

Despite the previous result at Portman Road, I fancy our chances to beat them quite comfortably at home. I think we would be too strong for them over two games. If it came to a one off final it would be more of a lottery IMO.

Sar-mi-en-to

He plays from the start
He breaks through the scum defence easy
Oh, Sar-mi-en-to,
We're down on our knees,
We're begging you please to score a goal,
Score a goal.

Jubilation, he scores again,
Scum fall on the floor and we're laughing,
Jubilation, he scores again,
Scum fall on the floor and we're laughing.

Sigh, why would you "love"....
at 22:11 29 Feb 2024

Because we've got Burns and Broadhead out with injury (potentially Chaplin too), so I thought it might be worth consideration. I wasn't saying it's definitely what I want to happen, just that it might be worth thinking about.

You obviously think it's a bad idea which is fine. You're probably right. I was just throwing it out there.

But why? (n/t)
at 22:07 29 Feb 2024

I wasn't ordering anything. I thought it was a topic worthy of discussion as I would quite like to see Al Hamadi play more minutes and wondered what others thought. It is a forum after all.

Who are you to say the only discussion is no? If you don't want to discuss then just ignore, others may have a different opinion to you.

Al Hamadi
at 19:25 29 Feb 2024

I would love for us to start with Moore and Al Hamadi both up front. With Hutchinson and Sarmiento ideally (with Harness, Taylor and Jackson on the bench).

Genuine question, is it possible to tweak the system we play to accommodate Moore and Al Hamadi both into the starting line up? Or would it just not work? For me, I would love it if McKenna started Al Hamadi, but he's obviously not going to do it at Moore's expense and nor should he, so is it feasible or just unworkable?

Discuss.

Big game tomorrow... How are we feeling?
at 21:17 9 Feb 2024

I don't know why but I'm feeling extremely confident. Just a gut feeling. I'm going for 2-0 as well.

Burns first half and Al-Hamadi to come on as a sub and get a 2nd. Kieffer will be unlucky and hit the woodwork twice.

West Brom Duo

Just stumbled across this article:

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/don-goodman-sends-transfer-warning-to-west-bro

If we don't get promotion then would either of these be worth pursuing as useful additions to our squad? Both could be available on a free in the summer. Thoughts?

Yes, you are right.

You are all rather embarrassing really, you and your canary feathered friends.

And what's with this 'we' business? We know you're not one of us, blatantly obvious.

Good-bye top two, nice knowing you.

This. Effectively it's still in our own hands. Southampton have to come to PR..

We're still a very good side. We're still dominating possession and creating more chances than the opposition despite results not going our way recently.

We know we're a better side than Preston. If you go two goals down to any team early on it's always going to be very difficult.

We need a rally cry and a reaction now. Beat West Brom and the confidence returns. No reason we can't still turn this around. Southampton and Leeds have the momentum now, but things can change very quickly in football. What's the alternative? Just chuck in the towel now after all the hard work we did and the position we got ourselves in?

Don't ****ing think so! We FIGHT BACK. Moore and Al-Hamadi can help to turn our season around and put together a good run and keep ourselves back in the picture. It's not all done yet, there's no way we should be surrendering just yet.
