| News Comment | Holloway: Careful What You Wish For at 08:23:53
To be fair to Olly, he's sticking up for his mate, and if you look beyond the whole mick-issue he's having a dig at Marcus Evans, and possibly the FA for allowing the money side of the game to become so unfair. It's a lot easier to shout mick out than Marcus out, because we're scared silly of what might happen if marcus pulls out. After the sales of mings and Murphy, should more transfer funds have been available, yes, so it's probably more realistic to question Marcus' ambition than mick. And that's coming from me, who's also a bit tired of mick and his defensive talk and nonsense at times, leaning towards mick out but not sure who's available and if he would be given cash to enhance the squad and perform better. |
| News Comment | Wolves Skipper Again Linked at 11:33:15
My take is that 850 K is beyond town because of his lucrative contract. I'm pretty sure Mick will be allowed to spend some money, not as much as many would like, but still. But I think transfer fees will only be spent on lower league players, with more reasonable wage demands. And with the numbers of quality free agents out there I'm not too worried. Town have made some very decent signings already. |
| News Comment | Reading Midfielder Tabb Linked at 05:39:13
I was at Loftus Road in november, and watched QPR-Reading. Tabb was MOM, so I would be well pleased with him joining Town. But hey, Alex McCarthy played a blinder also, so it was clearly a strange match;) |
| News Comment | Interviews Taking Place at 12:30:09
Would make sense to interview from a short list, not just approach their number one target. Mccarthy fits the bill, given our situation. But holloway, curbs, redknapp, davies or coyle would also be good choices. As much as i'd like Robinson, tisdale or other up and coming ones, i'm pretty sure they'll go for someone more experienced, which i can understand given the state we're in. |
| News Comment | Wellens Glad to Be Back Playing at 15:52:59
Carlos was easily our best player, followed by Martin. But i agree, both Wellens and campbell worked well. |
| News Comment | Cressy May Have Been Affected By Speculation at 06:48:35
But it has to be said that cressy didn't have a brilliant first season, he had a good one, made to look better by town and town's other players being distinctly average. |
| News Comment | Peterborough Joint Bid Accepted at 06:54:49
Don't get too excited, macanthony's tweet says multiple bids have been accepted, which makes it more than likely that boyd/taylor will choose other clubs, possibly promotion chasing ones... I hope not, we do need them. |
| News Comment | Bristol City in Davies Talks at 14:07:07
With his injury record, £1 million is no-go for davies, jewell is so right to be prudent, and clough has to realise sometime that his valuation is unrealistic, unless of course someone other than town stumps up the cash(but both bristol and blackburn are a long way from london). |

| News Comment | Lisbie Joins Orient at 07:12:57
Probably not a popular view on here, but i'm quite happy to see lisbie find a new club. He's a decent player. Things didn't work out for him at town, and he wasn't exactly given a fair go by keane. So his not-so-popular comments must be seen in light of keane(much like walters). Town were right to release him, but that doesn't stop me from wishing him well in his further career. |
| News Comment | Jewell: We\'ve Spoken to Boateng and Another Midfielder at 08:36:14
If jewell wants to sign boateng, then fine by me. I trust his judgement. And yes, boateng may be "old", but he looked in great shape in the prem just over a year ago, so i wouldn't mind him at all. |
| News Comment | Wickham Fee Reportedly Agreed With Sunderland at 07:49:22
IF we were to sell connor, which looks increasingly likely, i'd rather we do it now than in late august. Gives the squad time to settle, jewell time to strengthen and saves us the distraction throughout the summer. I hope he stays, would love to see him one more season for us. But money talks, and town can't magically stop what football's turned into. And no, we're not gonna struggle next season, with or without connor. In jewell we trust! COYB! |
| News Comment | Smith Looking for Championship Football at 15:51:40
Preston wanted ellington, and i've read rumours that bristol city did as well, and as for the other two we don't know if there was other interest. And saying that buying players out of contract or "not wanted" at their old club makes them washed up or poor players.... well a bit silly if you ask me. That would make pompey and wba fools for signing norris and mcauley then...and most other free agent signings. And sometimes players simply need a new lease of live, a fresh chance. Ellington was excellent for jewell before, might be it again. Have a little faith... Jewell is building a squad that i believe is gonna make us proud! |
| News Comment | Town Topic: The Greatest Town Goals at 16:26:12
Taricco against palace, wickhams goal reminded me of that, bar the finish Reuser against bradford (and crewe) Kuqi against bradford is one of my alltime favourite town goals. Bowditch against Pablo against pompey (and coventry last year, a bit special) Dozzell against the budgies |
