As the manager of a mid table (at best) side he should be happy escaping the Emptihad with only a 0-3 loss.
BTW, what the f&ck is a half empty home end at FT all about? It's a derby against your bitter rivals and the fans can't hang on to applaud their team? If we beat Nodge next month the place will be rocking at FT, nobody will have left before FT! |

We have two big problems at the moment, we are not creating anything and we always look like we have a mistake in us at the back.
It's not a good combination but if we can start putting the ball in the net we don't have to worry as much about the latter. |

Friday looked like a team of strangers and then after 8 changes tonight's team also looked like a team of strangers.
Unless it clicks fairly sharpish we could easily find ourselves 9+ points behind teams after about 6 games. Last time in the Champ we started really well and it allowed us to have a wobble around New Year without dropping down the table, before picking up again.
There's not even been a hint in the first 2 games that we look like a cohesive side. |

Imagine getting up on matchday, looking out your scarf, heading to the pub to meet your mates - and then remembering that Town are actually playing in f***ing Dallas, or New York, or some far Eastern city - all so that the PL can squeeze even more money from the 'product'.
If the big clubs want to play overseas then the can f*** off and not come back. Expel them from English football for good. |

There were folk on here saying that being a Friday night, etc it would get to 20+, maybe even 15+ - was never gonna happen.
There will be close to 2k who went to almost every game last season - so unless we get large allocations like Preston & Blackburn most away games will sell out at stages 1 or 2. |

While our "first 11" looks good - even without Omari - we are definitely short in terms of the bench. Also, Burns, Szmodics, Ogbene, Philogene & Harry Clarke have all been out for some time - who knows what level they will be at?
Momentum is a big thing, we started brilliantly last time in the Championship and never looked back. It also allowed us to have a small 'wobble' in Dec / Jan, but if we start poorly we may never gain the momentum required to get a top2 spot.
We also play 2 of the likely rivals for automatics early on, in Birmingham and Southampton, I wouldn't like to go into those games without having done most / all of our transfer business. |
