 | News Comment | Hirst Loan Signing Confirmed at 19:38:30
Number 27 - would that be coincidence that he has the same shirt as another iconic January signing in Marcus Stewart? Or am I remembering stuff wrong? |
 | News Comment | Ashton: Character is Key at 12:31:31
This was a great read and really good to see there is a vision in place that will shape decision making at the club. I think the ‘running towards adversity' is a good one. We have all had a lot of adversity in the past 15 years and there will continue to be adversity ahead, but if we collectively run towards that including us as supporters then we are in for a hell of a ride! When things aren't going quite as well as we would hope on match day let's ‘run towards adversity' and be the extra man to make the difference on the day - get behind the team rather than get on their backs, get their heads up and we really can be the difference. As a first time season ticket holder I am buzzing for Saturday and the dawn of a new era! COYB!! |
 | News Comment | Town Takeover Close at 19:04:01
What am I missing? We've been lamenting our financial woes, Marcus Evans inability to run a club and a manager who fails to inspire and now that appears to be addressed we are all worried this might happen. Have we forgotten what it feels like to be optimistic? Surely this is a positive step? |
 | News Comment | Lambert: We Kept Knocking and Got the Rewards at 08:37:50
There are aspects of these posts that I agree with. I watched the game v Shrewsbury yesterday and was incredibly frustrated by such a lacklustre display BUT had we had a decent referee in 2 of other games where we were definitely cheated out of 4 points at least we would be sitting top! Being an Ipswich fan requires an enormous amount of patience and maybe, just maybe that patience will be rewarded this season. |
 | News Comment | Skuse: The Title is the Target at 19:19:21
Maybe give the bloke a break. Time to put aside the Skuse scapegoating and appreciate this is a guy that wants the best for the club and is massively loyal. I have no doubt that he will be giving his all for the badge this year And we need to get behind him. 2 comments on this story and both seem to want to find the negative in Skuses essentially positive comments. COYB |
 | News Comment | Evans: New Manager Unlikely Before End of Season at 10:37:34
So it would seem that Evans is playing his part in taking the club positively forward, Klug and Williams will do the same in this interim period. Let's hope the new manager, whoever that might be will take the club to the next level. However the group that really needs to think about their role is the supporters. This board is full of negativity even after the exit of McCarthy - time to get our mojo back as a group and bring the joy back to being an ITFC supporter. COYB! |
 | News Comment | Kids for a Quid Against Villa at 20:31:19
Sadly this is the sort of promo I would have taken advantage of as predominantly armchair fan that has 2 girls that I'm desperately trying to keep interested in ITFC. But when I can't bring myself to go at the moment with the football being served up by the club how can I put my kids through it. Not angry like the more die hard fans on here just utterly despondent. Football used to be a big part of my life but difficult to feel passionate about a club who don't appear to care. |
 | News Comment | Milne: Stay With Mick at 15:51:03
Are you f#*king kidding me! Congratulate a conference side for outplaying us twice and expect us to be excited about a £10,000 transfer and a freebie that previously wasn't good enough for us! The club is totally out of touch with how dejected the fan base is and last night should have been the nail in the coffin - but no. As a club we are notoriously patient with managers but this is ridiculous and it's time that some decisive action was taken to address the poor performance on and off the field |
 | News Comment | McQueen and Wyatt Join Maldon and Tiptree at 18:28:41
Being a maldon boy I'm delighted to see some young talent at Maldon and Tiptree! Good luck to you both guys! I know of another young lad released into non league football that came good and now playing in the Premier League. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Difficult To Take But No Disgrace at 20:56:22
As I see it we as a fan base love Didsy and believe he is our talisman but actually he should be the standard that all our players meet. With the exception of maybe Christophe Berra, today aside, I'm not sure any of the rest of our squad meet that standard, which is why we will continue to struggle mid table for the foreseeable future. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Remaining Coy on Ireland at 18:53:29
I'm personally proud of the fact that we have a man in charge willing to manage his country. In the same way I'm proud of Sir Bobby for managing his country. Much more than the so called top managers who continue to put club first. Never been a fan of Alex ferguson but if he is really such a great manager could he not have at least tried to serve his country in football management terms? I wouldn't want to see mick leave but I admire a man who is willing to show a bit of national pride. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Wordsworth Signing at 16:49:09
Walberswick you really are a t#*t! I get that u only venture that opinion to get others to bite - like me! But Jesus your life must be exciting where u have to fill it by criticising every decision, signing and result the club you supposedly support makes! I'm assuming you are an ITFC supporter and not a rival supporter trying to cause trouble so for gods sake make a positive comment! Personally I'm looking forward to seeing what our new signings can add, securing championship status and kicking on next season! |
 | Blog Comment | Who Should My Son Support? at 11:45:52
Being the father of 2 girls I'm still looking forward to taking them to their first footy match at Ipswich. Cos that's who we are, that's the 'tribe' we belong to, their dad is a town fan so they are too. It builds character being an Ipswich fan, able to celebrate success as well as deal with disappointment, much better than the soulless kids who support Chelsea or man city or man utd or whichever is most successful at the time. These are the same kids who support brazil in the world cup!! Your son is a town fan through and through don't bring him up thinking life is all premier league titles and 8 figure signings! Football is more than that! |
 | News Comment | Jewell: Some of Our Football Was Scintillating at 09:18:11
I saw Ryan Lochte of USA being interviewed this morning and was asked why the USA swim team was so successful and he pointed to the fact that they always focused on the positive which lifted the team. Some of the posters on here - bluey123 in particular - would do well to follow this mantra as in posting constant negativity you are setting us up as a team for failure. We all have our part to play and I find it incredible that the reaction to such a positive story can be so negative. |
 | News Comment | Kourouma in Squad for Luton at 15:49:20
And their teachers!! Nice to have some light hearted banter instead of moaning about everything ITFC related for a change! |
 | News Comment | Kourouma in Squad for Luton at 15:05:56
My brothers dad is friends with one of the physios at Ipswich and went for a pint with him last night and according to him after extensive tests which lasted a number of hours the medical team have concluded that Lee Martin has in fact got a thigh injury. |
