Is it not the case that there is a funded project to have the entire Oxford to Cambridge line open by the mid-2020s?

Quite a lot at the western end (Oxford to Bicester) has already been reopened.

Anyone else find this utterly mental?

Yes, the Bolton semi was a fantastic occasion. We were hugging people we hardly knew.

One great thing about the Wembley final was the attitude of the Barnsley fans after the match. Many of them were calling out to us wishing us good luck for next season.

Phil did have a phase when he used that phrase, but it didn't faze us.

Probably the 81% of the population who supported the institution of the monarchy at the last survey might care, to at least some extent.

For very many years now either 18 or 19% have been in favour of abolition. This changes astonishingly little.

A simple one from the days when even top division refs had a job outside football:

The referee's a banker.

As indeed he was.

Matteo Sereni article December 2019
at 17:54 6 Jan 2020

Sereni was not a good goalkeeper; he was an excellent shot-saver. Quite a proportion of those saves would not have been needed if he had been any use at collecting crosses, any use at organising his defence, and positionally better.
