Tyrone Mings in New York

Think the fact that he actually had a real job before becoming a footballer makes him more grounded and humble than most footballers. I’ve only met him once to talk to an£ he came across as an extremely pleasant bloke

It's Pioneer upper.

Broadly speak it's the front rows (don't know how many - I was second row) around the halfway line to make way for the new press box

Talking about ‘doing a Liverpool’ when rebuilding the Cobbold

Fairly sure it remained in use.

From recollection the East stand was demolished (not that there was much to knock down) and rebuilt in the close season

Fairly confident it will be a decent view.

As you say, it’s not worth losing any sleep over

Reckon it's just the luck of the draw. I used my mobile and was persistently cut off for 90 minutes 😂😂

It would be a logistical nightmare I completely accept. It is entirely sensible to inconvenience as few people as possible. I was just pushing back on the statement that existing ST holders could not be moved, when quite clearly they can.

Personally I would have treated this like the Club deal with away tickets and given the longest serving ST holders (which wouldn’t be me before anyone jumps down my throat) first dibs, and then have further windows…and I would have given more than 12 hours notice!

Seem to be settling down a bit after the 10am rush.

Just had to wait 20 minutes to get through which isn’t too bad

Why can’t they move existing ST holders elsewhere?

What’s wrong with saying to someone who has had a ticket for 2 years sorry you need to move to accommodate someone who has had one for 30?

Genuine question. Why can’t they do that?

Certainly less than Sir Alf. It’s mostly seats at the back or at the extreme ends of Blocks 1 and 3, but I’d imagine that there still pretty decent views

Thanks. It looks like there’s more seats on offer in the Sir Alf so I’m going to pitch for that I think

Thanks, but the view of the pitch isn’t too bad?

Those being asked to move from either stands.
at 20:08 10 Jun 2024

I’ve just had a generic email Frimmers so haven’t spoken to a human yet. You’d like to think that we would get some priority because it’s clear that I’m going from having one of the best views to one of the worst! End of the day, it’s just one of those things. As long as I get 2 seats together it will be fine.

How bad are those restricted views at the back of the West stand? I’ve always preferred sitting side on but am now thinking that I may need to go behind the goal to get a better view

I’m not too fussed about moving - as long as I get a decent view there’s no problem. The free for all tomorrow pisses me off tbh, particularly when I only found out at 4pm today. To be honest I’d rather they just allocate me seats and let me ask to be moved if I’m not happy with what they’ve offered

I got the email, but unless I’m doing something wrong, all the link does is show a stadium map with no indication as to where the available seats are

Can play anywhere across the front 4. He’d be a very safe signing. If the worst comes to the worst and we end up relegated he’d be a huge asset in a Promotion push.

VAR
at 07:32 6 Jun 2024

As a newbie, I wonder whether we’ll keep our heads down and go with the flow.

VAR isn’t the issue for me - it’s the people running it and failing to stick to the script ie dealing with clear and obvious errors. If it takes more than a couple of looks then it can’t be clear and obvious for me and the game should move on
