The dark chocolate Bounty Bars have not been available for at least three years.
Until recently I used to do survey work for Mars/Wrigley. Sales were very poor.

Am I right in thinking that we have never played Wrexham in the league before?

When did you lose faith in survival?

Yes, that was the same for me. After the two late Bournemouth goals, I was sure it was over.

Worst 'Big 6' Away Fans at Portman Road
at 13:14 21 Apr 2025

I have missed two matches this season, Aston Villa and yesterday.

From my viewpoint -
Best - Newcastle, then Everton
Poorest - Bournemouth, Liverpool
Most obnoxious - Man City

I only did one away game - Anfield- and really shocked at how quiet it was (apart from YNWA being played over the PA at the start). They really do suffer from football tourism in a big way. Certainly not the Liverpool of old!

April 8th 1978 FA Cup Semi Final ; WBA 1-3 Ipswich - memories please!
at 21:49 8 Apr 2025

Probably an unusual memory but it was a day of very mixed emotions for my brother and me.
As teenagers we had our tickets and place on the bus booked, then our dear Nana died suddenly the day before. I had sat at her bedside all the night before until she passed and I was shattered and naturally hugely upset. I felt we should stay at home, but Mum insisted we go and told us that it would be what Nana wanted. She loved the Town too.
Nana had collapsed with a five pound note in her apron pocket for my brother and I to spend at the match. We had to go!

I vividly remember the drama of the goals. Being a bag of verves when Big Al needlessly gave away the penalty until Warky scored the third and we were on our way to Wembley. Almost unbelievable after the heartbreak of 1975!
I remember standing on that Clock End, the joy at the final whistle and thinking "nana, this was for you!"

Staying right until the final whistle made it so much easier to get home. I was back half an hour earlier than normal!

My memory of being right at the front of that side stand at Leicester, was just how low it was below pitch level. Probably the worst view I can remember at a match.

50 years ago, that should make me feel old, but I was only a teenager then

I was in the Churchmans behind the goal in my usual place. I remember the kids sitting around the pitch and barely being able to move my arms in the crush. Funnily I don't remember too much about the game or the 2nd replay (first at Filbert Street). I went there on a bus from school. They wouldn't arrange another one for the final match a couple of days later!

Yes, there was an obvious other penalty taker.
Jack Clarke had a very good record at Sunderland and was their main penalty taker.

Yes, indeed perspective is needed and two years ago who would have thought we would be playing at Old Trafford, yet alone narrowly losing 3-2?

However, it was the disappointing manner of the defeat that frustrated me. After the sending off, Man Utd immediately brought on a replacement defender and took off an attacker. They, then proceeded to park the bus in front of goal as we did at Villa Park. We left it far to late to bring on another striker to try and take advantage.
We barely penetrated the defensive block and spent so much time knocking the ball around the outside of the penalty area. Even that "great" analyst Robbie Savage commented that we were just not attempting to put crosses into the box. One shot on target against 10 men in 50 minutes of the second half is just poor.

Most of us expected defeat at Old Trafford. Most of us were realistic enough to acknowledge it would take a miracle for us to get 17th place and survive. However, that does not mean we should not be allowed to be disappointed and frustrated at a poor performance.
