Good stuff, hopefully we can do it again on Tuesday as that would be 9 unexpected points gained on rivals. Fair play to everyone involved. Condolences to Stuart Taylor. COYB |

pensionerblue - If this does materialise, I would expect the fat to be trimmed in the Summer. There are several players coming to the end of their contracts, we've got a huge squad so I would expect us to keep our best players and offload the dead wood. I would then imagine we would be likely to make a few key additions to create a cohesive squad with the aim of comfortably being promoted to the Championship with a squad that stands half a chance of relatively comfortable survival. In turn, that would push the price of the club up and then the prospective owners either continue to build, or sell us on for more profit with the club in a better state. That's surely the aim, whether or not it works is another matter. |

I understand why people are urging caution but let's be frank - we either slowly fade away into the footballing abyss under Evans stewardship, or we potentially freefall into it with a new owner if things go wrong. If this materialises then at least it represents a chance that things could get better, whereas with Evans, the trajectory looks pretty certain to only get worse. |

I was quite looking forward to that after the madness of the last 20 minutes of the Leicester game. Naive I know, but I had a taste for excitement from men in blue shirts... |

A performance as ugly, filthy and rugged as the pitch it was played on. I can't for the life of figure out why he made the changes he made. Ward and McG were dire, Tomasz was desperate, and the passing was non-existant. Thoroughly depressing watch. Nobody comes away from that performance with their head held high, although at least Norwood and Parrott gave it a shake. The most enfuriating thing is the Posh have looked distinctly average against us in both games, we just happen to look distinctly awful at the same time. What a comedown from what was a great Saturday. |

Before a ball is kicked it looks a daft decision to drop to in-form full backs who were pivotal for us the other night. Hopefully I will be proven wrong. |

This is great news, the system they brought in was so flawed it just served to trap anyone unfortunate enough to be in League 1 or 2 where they were ad infinitum. I still expect a clear out of sorts come the summer, we have been carrying some dead wood for some time, but this is a good result for us. |

That was more like it. We haven't got a result out of the last few but they have improved slowly each game. Today was a jump forward though. Downes looked accomplished as captain and dominated the middle of the pitch. All of the forwards, full backs and Dozzell gelled nicely and we looked a credible threat throughout. Wolfy obviously did well to get the important second but him and McG need to wise up a bit at the back. Loose passes can, have and will cost us. If they can build upon this result then the game against Peterborough could be another performance to savour. Looking forward to it, hopefully we get more of the same. COYB |
