Door knocking sales
at 13:39 30 Dec 2020

We’ve just had a guy knock at our door supposedly from First Home Improvements and managed to get name, number etc out of us. The card we got from him is very vague, doesn’t have full name of the guy or a phone number.

Anyone else in Ipswich had experience from this company knocking at your door? Can’t contact their offices as they are closed!

Company Accounts Overdue
at 13:27 13 Jul 2020

Just noticed the club's company accounts are overdue by 2 weeks. Has anyone heard if there's a reason for this?
Their second - Offside?

Just watched the highlights and surely their second goal was offside?
Season Tickets
at 09:24 28 Apr 2019

I can’t help think the timing of the season tickets announcement, short early bird deadline and lack of season ticket packs (ideal for those of the older generation who may not have access to the internet) is another failure from the club.

Why wait until relegation is confirmed when many of the players clearly feel on the beachh rather than produce more advertising for new season ticket holders. Surely the ideal time was when we beat Bolton after a month of good performances and a win which gave so much optimism for next year but still clearly going down.

Regardless of people’s views on Leeds, this is absolutely shocking. We’ve seen first hand the poor standards but this must top the lot!

How many this season is it now?
TWTD Website Redirecting

Every time I use the TWTD forum, within a minute or so, the page is redirected to a Google Rewards spam page. Is anyone else having this issue?

I’m on a iPhone if it makes a difference?

Huddersfield Town - £19m loss!!
at 18:23 7 Jun 2018

Saw an article about the profits and losses of Championship teams last season (16/17) and Huddersfild towns came up as a £19m loss including a small profit from selling player(s)! (Ours wasn’t accurate though as it didn’t take into account our sale of Murphy).

So I had a quick look at the accounts on companies house and despite their turnover being £1.5m less than ours, their wages costs were £4m higher at £21.7m!! The big cost was just under £12m of ‘Promotion Costs’, which is detailed in the notes as ‘committed costs’ ‘increased payroll costs’ so presumably promotion bonuses!!

Link below to the accounts (most recent filing)

Shrewsbury owner - ‘Paul’s Agent Approached not Ipswich’ ‘Chris Doig goi
at 08:12 29 May 2018

Very much sounds like we have done to Shrewsbury what Sunderland did to St Mirren

He said the Agent seemed to know Doig was in the deal before Shrewsbury did too

The owners resigned to a done deal

‘His attitude to the fans was pathetic’ ‘plays his favourites’

Some very interesting comments on this football forum. Sounds a lot like another McCarthy type...

We may rue not offering the job to Ross but worth giving this guy a go.

Just a general question really as Upper tier costs a ridiculous amount more!

Buying first house - Buy to Let
at 18:46 15 Jan 2018

A question for those in finance.

I am looking at houses currently and the cheaper houses where I live are only just in my budget (what I’m saving by living with parents). What I mean is I could only afford the mortgage payments before heat, light, food etc.!

I am really keen to get on the market before an increase that takes it out of my bracket again!

The only other way I can see would be to get a buy to let but you need a very large deposit.

I am curious as to whether there are mortgage lenders that would allow you to initially rent out a home that you intend to eventually live in, without calling it a buy to let?

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to take notice of the banner. I just looked up at it and is just another reminder of how stale the club is.
