Right then, who bought one? (I haven’t)

If you have, I’m sorry but you can’t complain. This shirt/kit has been a massive success sales wise.

Attempting to wear it away from Portman Road could be difficult as the home team would get priority. Therefore, to wear something with such big sales, wearing at Portman Road is likely to be the best opportunity for the club.

Black shorts are common so we wouldn’t create many opportunities at away games.

I don’t agree however that it was worn whilst on Sky. I can understand why they did it though as it’s the same day of the sponsorship extension.

I’m pretty sure Ashton Gate work was before Ashton was there

Not a true reflection of us as a team.

If you run a form table from the time McKenna was here, we would have to be comfortably top of that to have made the play offs this year. I make it that we would have needed 54 from 23 games which would have been one hell of an achievement.

It probably sounds stupid but I’m glad we missed out on 70 rather than the huge total Plymouth did as I wouldn’t be able to cope! I believe we were 5th in the form table under McKenna so that is proof we are moving in the right direction, even if 11th place doesn’t.

Our average home attendance this season (n/t)
at 20:39 21 Feb 2022

Sheffield Wednesdays attendances compared to ours are increased massively by their away attendances.

I’ve seen an average that shows we get 600 away fans a game whereas they get 1700.

F1 showdown thread

They don’t wait for them to catch up, the let them passed half way round the track and by the time the safety comes in and the leader has backed the pack up, it’s likely they’re not far behind.

It is a bit dodgy they only let those between through but Toto Wolff called the racing director during the safety car asking them not to let them through a lap before as he knew it would mean there would be a lap racing.

Likewise, during the virtual safety car, he called and told them not to bring out the full safety car. It’s not up to him what to do!

They’re as bad as Red Bull.

Letting a lap of racing but no cars through would have been wrong but at the same time, what they’ve done is wrong. They probably had time to let them all through, based on where they let them through and there was only one lap!

Last season we scored 25 at home in total, so far we’ve scored 15 at home in the league this season

Yep looks like that was right there! Just seen that’s been reversed now and the bet is a win.

That seems to be the case where they’re not paying out winners too

Players would be treated as assets in the accounts rather than stock. The treatment of those in accounts would be different.

Anyone know why the BBC match reports no longer include attendances?
at 20:37 7 Aug 2021

Of the announced attendances, the two highest in the EFL look like Sunderland then us. Derby haven’t announced theirs but going by videos online, it doesn’t look like many were there!

Ok, true, they do need to improve on their work but in all aspects of discrimination they should steer clear from politics to gain better progress I would have thought

Ridiculous.

This is an example of why I don’t agree with the knee. UEFA wouldn’t dare tell people they couldn’t take the knee or they would be racist even though it also originates from a political protest.

It’s lost it’s meaning and effectiveness IMO

Football should continue to push its Kick it Out campaign it has done for years

I just don’t understand why BLM is getting the only focus when homophobia is on the rise as well in recent years as well. Some peoples opinion on the knee is that other abuse areas should be made aware of as well

What would people’s opinions be on football players taking the knee before every game to support an anti homophobia abuse group rather than Black Lives Matter? Just out of curiosity...

Turnover can include owners donations/equity. This is from the financial fair play website

“Turnover definition

Under the SCMP rules, the definition of 'Turnover' is particularly important as Turnover is used to determine the maximum wage-spend. Within a traditional accounting perspective, there are usually only three elements of turnover:

Match-day Income
Commercial Income (such as sponsorship)
TV revenue (and any 'merit payments' based on league position)
However the Football League use a is broader definition of Turnover. Crucially, the FL Turnover figure includes donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity. Loans from club owners are understandably not included in the Turnover figure as these would result in growing club debts. up club debts. In League 1 and League 2, a wealthy owner can therefore fund the club spending in a way that is not permitted in other divisions.”

The ifollow access wasn’t free, season ticket holders paid EXACTLY the same price as non season ticket holders would have paid to watch every home game.
There may have been reasons the season ticket holder wasn’t able to watch ifollow, poor internet connection etc yet they still have had to pay £230

That doesn’t matter, this season is a completely different season.

The club know which vouchers weren’t used as well so should give those season ticket holders something in place of those. A cash balance to use on anything at the club (no restriction) would be best IMO, I’m sure I read that’s what Charlton did

As I mentioned in my other post, as a season ticket holder you commit to the season so you should receive a special treatment. That’s what happens with tickets for actual matches, you get discounted ticket prices even though everyone has to walk through the same turnstile

I think more people might have been happy if they had given the offering as say £200. That way those season ticket holders who committed to the season paid less than those who chose to watch ifollow each week. That’s the idea of a season ticket.

The club would know who has and who hasn’t used the codes so should at least have given something more for those codes not used, even if it’s a club voucher rather than money back.
