TWTD Questionnaire 2023/24

Last summer, manager Kieran McKenna's performance was deemed very good by 97.7 per cent of those filling in the TWTD Questionnaire, which seemed impossible to beat. And yet beat it he has by picking up a further 1.2 per cent.

The team has come such a long way since December 2021 when he took over and even now it seems remarkable that we're going into a Premier League season when only 14 months ago we were in League One.

The back-to-back promotions has McKenna vying with George Burley for the accolade of the club's third-greatest manager behind Sir Bobby and Sir Alf. An impressive season in the Premier League might well see him surpass the last man to take us to promotion to the top flight and then a fifth-place Premier League finish.

After a fortnight of will he/won't he speculation in May, McKenna eventually opting to stay and sign an extended new deal was the best news the summer could have brought.

Whether we might be in a similar situation next summer remains to be seen, but for the moment Town go into their first season back in the Premier League with their hugely talented young manager still at the helm.
