The plaudits will all go to Lawrence and rightly so. That said the game as a whole was enjoyable with everybody buying into a passing game which was a change of direction in a good way. The only exception was Berra who took it too much to heart and got caught for their 1st goal. Through the middle Skuse and Chambers looked very solid and the wide players made mostly intelligent runs.

1st time in a while that most people were smiling coming out of the ground and not only for the result. At last we saw some football.

Don't forget to watch "the championship " tonight if for nothing else than to see Tom Lawrence's second!!!!!

Just brilliant from Tom, need to pay the money and start building the side for the future. Dozzell ha do good game, always trying to find way through. Played much better when keeping the ball on the ground as long punts to front two were a waste of time. Bart needs to pass or throw more often as kicking gives ball away.
Should have scored more esp Skuse who had golden opp but passed to player in worse place. And Freddie needs more compost as he rushed his chances but at least he played in best position but noticed that when we were 3-1 MM reverted to 451. Freddie went wide and Ward tried central role but wasn't good enough. Still 3 points is great and fans were happy.

At last! a really enjoyable game and 3 well deserved points in the bag.
Congratulations to MM for putting out a formation that suited the players selected, also well done to Luke Chambers for wearing his heart on his sleeve, stating things that have been on supporters and obviously on his own mind. He put in a real Captains performance from the moment he came onto the pitch, immediately whipping up support from the crowd and then putting in a solid performance in the centre of a back three.
Tom Lawrence has been a revelation even when our team performances have been poor, today playing in a free role, he was unplayable, and what a cracker his second goal was.

FINALLY I got entertained with a good attacking team. Five at the back worked well for me and Chambo played much better in the heart of defence. J.Emmanuel had a good game. I do think Emmanuel is better than Chambers at right back but Chambers should stay in the middle. Cole Skuse had a decent game always coming forward and also helping the back six when needed. Bart made some good saves and I honestly don't Know where we'd be without him. And Lawrence. What a pacy powerful player he is. Evans has to sign him before he gets snapped up by a premiership club which he should be playing for. WHAT A STRIKE THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best game for a long time. I actally got excited. Liked the set up, hope Mick sticks to it.
Tom Lawrence is out of our league unfortunately. See what Mick can find for next season on loan. Got Fraser last year and Lawrence this, no reason why he can't find another.
Nice to hear the north standers back in full voice and the drums beating.

Liked the formation and the style of play.

Unfortunately it only happened because the manager was forced into it by injuries
