Disappointed that despite constantly being reassured that if the deal for Goldson fell through we would have a replacement lined up, it clearly wasn't the case, as we've ended up with a full back.

Saying Shackell or Hobbs were plan B, then deciding not to go for them because of their wages, means they clearly weren't viable options and should never have been considered a "plan b". If we were going to line up unrealistic options, why not go for Ramos and Pique.

Yes it's great to get a promising young full back in, but he should only have been the icing on the cake

Don't recall us being 'constantly reassured' anything about the Goldson deal. Plus there clearly were other options, which also didn't work out. Signing footballers is not like buying tins of baked beans.

Doesn't just happen to us. At least players with deals in place weren't refusing to come to the club, a la Chelsea.

Connolly is a useful addition, in that he can play CB if needed, but more importantly frees up Iorfa to go in the middle. We could now potentially play a back five of Connolly - Spence - Iorfa - Knudsen - Kenlock (all with at least a modicum of Champ experience), plus Wolfenden in reserve.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

You've made quite a lot of that up..... on 09:17 - Sep 1 with 1132 viewsBloots

....for effect.

1. We weren't constantly assured. A couple of local hacks with no knowledge at all said it.

2. The reason for Hobbs not coming was because Forest changed their mind about him being available.

3. Shackell was more down to his injury record compared to his wage demands.

If you're gonna blub, base it on facts.

Enduringly lovable, intelligent and thunderingly exquisite.
