Always club over country. I would rather Ipswich beat Cheltenham than England win the world cup.

This a no brainer surely.... on 09:00 - Nov 3 with 3444 views | itfcjoe | I'd rather Ipswich win a major honour than England the WC, but I'd rather England win the WC than us win something like League 1

This a no brainer surely.... on 09:01 - Nov 3 with 3436 views | noggin | I find both competitions rather distasteful these days but if Ipswich must reach the PL, then I'd like to see us win it. I won't even watch the WC.

This a no brainer surely.... on 09:08 - Nov 3 with 3383 views | Asa | I don't see how it's even a question if you're a proper supporter of a club. Anyone who follows a team at least semi-regularly at home, right through to home and away will surely prefer to see their team win something. The only people who are saying country have to be the casual fans or plastics that support both Man United and England, for example, from their armchairs and appreciate England success will bring the country together for a party nobody is having if a club side wins in Europe. Would be fascinated to hear the logic, and stand corrected, if there's anyone here that watches Town regularly that would say otherwise. Only real angle I can see is if you've see Town have success in your lifetime and not England.

This a no brainer surely.... on 09:16 - Nov 3 with 3314 views | clive_baker | Normally I would say England win the World Cup, certainly in recent years. But the state of this World Cup and the current trajectory that Town are on has probably closed that gap or even swung it. If someone said England lose the final and Town go up or England win the WC and Town lose the playoff final I would take the scenario that sees us go up.

That was my thought on it. But I'm someone who doesn't care one bit about England doing well at Tournaments, I appreciate most people don't hold that view.

I dont care about the Papa Johns either. But seeing Ipswich win at Wembley regardless of comeptition, I probably would put that before a world cup win.

That was easily the most depressing recent tournament for me. The 2014 World Cup was poor but the games were at least exciting and despite the Iceland embarrassment, Euro 2016 had the last-minute winner against Wales. 2010 had nothing.

This a no brainer surely.... on 13:54 - Nov 3 with 2342 views | jeera | It's a silly question really. To see Town win the top division is a dream most of us could only hope to witness in our lifetimes. Twice for a few of us. Possibly more for the likes of Facters and Solemio from the earlier forms of the game.

If the choice is England win the WC this year or we get promoted I'd choose promotion.

I think that football was banned for a time when Facters was a lad, because the King was concerned that not enough archery practice was going on.

Swap that for sling shot practice.
