George Edmundson 20:37 - Mar 6 with 4201 views | JDAndCoke | Is the fridge door closed? I understand he might have a slight injury at the moment but I've thought for a while something is a little fishy around Fridge. Regularly talked up all season as part our best centre half pairings but involvement has been noticeably limited this year, albeit with a few injuries in the mix. Even small things like the latest 'Coffee Club' release from the club. Fridge has been the ever-present host of that feature until now... Anyone think he might have had a fall-out with someone and be on his way in the summer? Might be nothing in it at all but keen to gauge opinion as something seems awry.

Stop over analysing every stray pass, every missed tackle etc. Yes, we're 3-0 down at half time but we're playing one of the best clubs in the country, managed by one of the best managers in the world. They are also playing a team that will be much closer to their own starting line up come the first day of the season than we are too.
Just chill. Sit back, watch the game and accept that we're playing a far superior side that will have far more possession and force errors from us. [Post edited 6 Mar 2023 21:58]

George Edmundson on 22:21 - Mar 6 with 2800 views | FrimleyBlue | I don't think he'd be doing things like the Coffee club if he wasn't wanted around. He hasn't quite been of last years standard but then not many have, and some have been better than last season.... what we've yet to see however is Edmundson as a RCB.

If he's so one-footed that being on the right instead of the left of a 2 makes a difference, then he's probably not good enough for the championship. He's had a poor season.

“Not many have been as good as they were last year” Who are they? Or perhaps as there aren’t many, who has been as good as last year?

I offer you Tommy Smith. Only had a left peg. Played in a World Cup.

I'd say the following haven't been as good as they were last season Donacien Harness Walton Burns Jackson ( Quite difficult to judge on him as he's ran well, I like him, but his figures aren't great) Edmundson

Walton had a couple of dodgy games, but otherwise has been sound. Burns much the same, and recently has been brilliant. Harness has not had that many opportunities, and , with the recent signings is not first choice, similarly Edmundson. In sum your post is nonsense.

Harness wasn't here last year, so how could you possibly make that judgement? JD - i don't agree with that Walton - Yeah fair Jackson - Really? I think you are just pulling names out of a hat there Burns - Different role this year, not as stand out Edmundson - Again fair

Most left footers do only have a left foot. They're noticeably worse on their weak foot than right footers are, for some reason. Conor Chaplin - his right foot is pretty terrible 90% of the time - I'm aware he scored with it at the weekend.

As long as he hasn’t had Boris hiding himself inside him he’s all good.

On Chaplin, it's strange you say that as I could have sworn that there was debate initially as to which is his stronger foot because he seems so strong on both. I would say he's quite two-footed but I haven't got to as many games as would have liked so sure you're right.

Just to remind you, you actually said, "...but not many have...." Even if your list was accurate, and it isn't, that does not correspond to your statement. This thread has slipped into surreal mode. P.S. I'm impressed you had eyes on Harness all last season.

Depends on what you personally see as many tbh On Harness its not difficult. We signed him. We've replaced him and he's 6 goals behind on last year's total getting sub appearences now. The only difficult one Is Jackson. He doesn't really look worse but with the vast difference in game time. He's behind with his stats to.

You named six players. So "not many" in your eyes is at least 16. Got it.

I'd say most modern-day footballers are incredibly one-footed. I don't know if they are coached not to use their weaker foot but many seem reluctant to attempt even a 5-yard pass with it.
