It may well run true, we don't know for sure. They may have a crack team of ground staff forking the pitch all day today and sweeping any standing water. As others have said throughout the week, Sky will want the club to do all it can to make the pitch playable. | | | |

Common sense would suggest an early pitch inspection but this is the EFL and Sky so common sense may not apply. I think the referee will have to be involved in the decision and I imagine he won’t get there before lunch time. Surely it would be wiser to get a more local, independent ref from say Sheffield to go and have a look under the circumstances. | | | |
