Priskin Having Town Medical Thursday, 6th Aug 2009 15:41
Watford striker Tamas Priskin is undergoing a medical at Portman Road, the Blues and Hornets having agreed a £1.7 million fee for the Hungarian international. TWTD was first to break the news of Town's interest in the 22-year-old last Thursday.
Earlier this week, Priskin’s agent József Vörösbaranyi confirmed that the Blues had made an offer for the striker, believed to be in the region of £1.2 million, which the Hertfordshire club turned down. However, Vörösbaranyi indicated that he felt a deal would ultimately be done.
Meanwhile, we understand the Blues are also moving closer to signing Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy. Yesterday, TWTD revealed that Town had renewed their efforts to land the Irish international.
Elsewhere, Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon has issued a hands-off warning to the Blues regarding goalkeeper Brian Murphy and midfielder Gary Deegan: "Gary and Brian won't be leaving before the [Irish] season is over [in November]."
sorry dan but i disagree m8 coz he is so lazy aswell - he only likes to play good when he can be bothered which is hardly ever - has his moments but i prefer Bruce and Balkenstein to mcauley
I really hope Daryl Murphy signs along with goalkeeper Brian Murphy. Both lads come from my home town, Waterford and both would prove to be great signings for Ipswich Town. Thanks to all the Town supporters who came here a few weeks ago. Hope you enjoyed our city. If the Murphy's sign for us they could both play in the World Cup next year. Two Ipswich Town players in the World Cup. Magic.
My dad works at portman road, he's part of the analysis team. Just came home today with news that Paul Scholes has been told he can leave the Man u for a loan deal as Ferguson cant guarntee 1st team football. Its between us and sunderland to get his signature. Hopefully keane will pull this out of the bag.
For Gods sake......Scholes aint comin to town.....and guess what i have so much in house information about the transfers at PR i could write a current book!!! But all i am goin to say is GIO is a defo!!!!! only problem is Keane wants him till end of season and Rednapp want him to go back in Jan!!!!
A striker who actually scores goals and doesn't just look good until he gets to the penalty area will be a bit of a change :-) He is a poacher who according to the Watford fans can go AWOL and can appear lazy, but knows where the goal is. Given confidence he will be a great signing. Confidence means the boo boys staying off his back. Lets hope he starts his account agains Coventry and gets the fans on his side and keeps them there. As for signing Gio on loan... we'd be unstopable, but is it really likely?
DanKnott.... you are incredible! We may as well close this site down and start the DanKnott site. Come on fella.... you are speculating as much as everyone else on this website. Unless of course you are Roy Keanes brother, and you don't look much like him so my guess is your not :-D
