Dyer Signs New QPR Deal Monday, 21st May 2012 14:13
Former Blue Kieron Dyer has signed a new one-year deal with QPR despite appearing for only seven minutes last season. The 33-year-old was carried off in the Rangers' opening day 4-0 defeat to Bolton with a foot injury which kept him out for the rest of the campaign.
Dyer joined QPR last summer after being released by West Ham, having spent a month on loan back with the Blues late in the 2010/11 season.

Hope you get a good end to your career Kieron, so unlucky with injuries! QPR should have a midfield consisting of Barton, Dyer and Bowyer next season, would be "interesting" to say the least. :P

Very surprised - but very glad for Kieron too. A great player on his day. Presumably this means he's getting back to fitness and can play a part next season.

WTF, he must have the best agent in the world. 7 minutes playing time in a whole season!! He probably earned more this season than a lot of us do in a life time too. Good luck to him.

On a different note QPR have released, Shittu, Peter Ramage, Gabbidon and one size Fitz Hall. A few of them could do a solid job I'm sure.

More importantly, QPR have released Danny Shittu. Can someone let PJ know? Free central defender, proven class at this level..

He's a scumbag in my opinion, burning money in nightclubs

Surprised to see him get a good deal but people on here seem to have forgotten how good he was. I struggle to think of many better players to wear the blue shirt in the last 20 years. In my opinion he was a great player and these people criticising him, would they turn down one last contract and chance to play at the top? BTW- He didnt burn money outside Libertys all thos years ago - its an urban myth.
bournemouthblue added 20:08 - May 21
Why do people keep paying him? He must have an incredibly good agent!
RetroBlue added 20:10 - May 21
Thus might be controversial, but what the hell has the game come to that a player like KD (and he's not the only one) can secure yet another contract when 90% of his career he has been spent on the treatment table rather than on the pitch. If any of us had been off sick to this level we'd have been justifiably sacked long ago. Even as a pay as you play style contract , this is greed of the highest degree.
buryblue77 added 20:19 - May 21
he could go on playing until he's 70!

BrightBlue added 21:07 - May 21
It was indeed Hollywoods, for my youthful sins i was there!!! He had the ability to be one of the best but due to injuries and being a bit of a prat he never fulfilled his early promise!!!

Had quality, no doubt about it. From when I've heard about him and from when I've met him, he's come across very arrogant and takes his lifestyle for granted. However, not his fault he was injured a lot and although we all slag him off for sitting on a bench for last 5 years earning millions but playing little.. we'd all do it wouldn't we? One thing I can say about Kier is even if he is arrogant and thinks he's the bees knees, he loves playing football so it'd be great for him to finish his career actually playing it. Good on him.

BTW - the nightclub incident is a myth! go to any town and they have the same story about there players
