Prospective signing Cheick Kourouma will be out of action for three weeks with the knee injury he suffered in training on Monday.

The Frenchman, who has so far been prevented from signing for Town due to red tape relating to his former clubs, had a scan on Monday and received what was considered good news.

“Luckily enough it’s not too bad,” revealed boss Paul Jewell. “We think it’ll probably be about three weeks. He’s just nicked his medial ligament and it’s not as bad as we thought.”

arc added 13:45 - Aug 15 Shouldn't it be the job of the agent to sort out the red tape before he offers his player around? If not, why do we pay the agent fees? I hope the lad gets well soon.
