Town Reveal New Kits
Thursday, 14th May 2015 21:08

Town launched the new home and away kits for the 2015/16 season at an event at Cineworld in Cardinal Park this evening.

The home kit sees a return to the pinstripes first seen in the first Pioneer-sponsored Adidas kit in the 1981/82 season, while the away strip is a Barcelona inspired red and blue affair with a yellow trim.

The kits are again produced by Adidas, who returned as Town’s suppliers last summer, signing a four-year deal. Marcus Evans remains the sponsor.

The new home kit will be available for pre-order from 9am on Friday morning.

I love them both. Home shirt is very retro and I miss football shirts with a good collar - it might become the first football shirt I've bought in 15 years! Whereas the away shirt looks like a classic in the making.

Awful. Home is average...away one is dull and drab.

As long as we play well I don't mind what kits we have although I would just add that I hope they have thought of a third kit because we shall not be able to play the likes of Palace and Chelsea with the two new ones.

So someone somewhere in a boardroom said, "Bournemouth's kit looks quite nice".

Not the usual away colours, but look smart...not sure on the home collar though, clearly gone for the retro look!

We keep returning to pinstripes for some reason. Two of the Mitre kits had them. They're back again. That said, I like the kits I think. Would have been good to have the collars fastened to the shirt - they look like they could flap about!

Gotta say I love both the new kits. The collar brings back good memories. And also love the signed ball which is sitting on my mantel!!

Love the kits. Would have preferred no collar.

In the video I think that's the most we've passed on the ground all season. Ha!

Wowza! Seriously cool - both kits.

Think I'm getting the away one this year.

Great home strip there appear to be some pinstripes. The awaystrip is a surprise and it's growing on me it looks classy, also very pleased with the proper keepers kit Cooperesque.
Only negative is the white boots, it makes them all look a bit effeminate. It could just be me.

Get rid of the yellow trim on the away shirt and move the Adidas badge to the right and you've got yourself a decent kit. The home kit is not a patch on this year's; change for change's sake and the collar is a mistake. The goalkeeper's kit is a nice colour from the waist down, but why the two-tone green, the orange trim and the gap in the arm stripes?

LOVE the home kit, but someone explain the point of an away kit with blue on it..?!

Where did they film the promotional video? Laser Quest?

Love the kits though.

@Fatboy The stripe gap on the keeper sleeves is for the Football League badges, and the away and GK kit are just Adidas templates which haven't been designed solely for our club.

Do I have to grow a beard to wear the new shirts?????

I forsee a problem if we keep these kits for two years. The away kit will clash with Barcelona's in the champions league in 2017..............

are we supposed to see the kits in that video?.... seem to be okay, but I see unwanted yellow in away kit :-/

Thought about it overnight, and I still don't get this away kit. I like the look of it a lot, but there's simy zero logic in a blue team having blue on the away kit. You couldn't wear it at: Everton, Chelsea, palace, man city (possibly), Birmingham, Huddersfield, and a whole load of other places I haven't thought of yet!

Clearly we will have a 'third', but what's the point if we could have stuck with an orange theme (new design)? I thought at first it was a return to the black and red of 1993-5? Which would have worked great.

(Also makes me laugh on this that the report on this in a certain Ipswich paper felt like they had to remind everyone what the Barcelona kit looks like!!)
