without knowing all the ins and outs.

Insurance act 2015 section 13A means that if you come under any financial loss / hardship due to slow payment of a claim then the insurer becomes liable for this too. It really all depends whether they are acting reasonably and in a reasonable time frame.

i would have felt that 2 months is plenty of time to ask the vet for information and conclude whether this is or is not covered under your policy but then this type of insurance is not my area

Usually mentioning the insurance act gets their bum in gear

I've heard that the stumbling block here is his salary, he got a pay bump on promotion as did a lot of the squad and therefore not may L1 teams are able to get a package that works for player and ITFC

We competed bloody well over 2 legs with the run away winners of the Championship.
I'd be quietly optimistic that we have a competitive squad for the championship. Not saying we can't upgrade positions but we are relatively young and have compted well again a to be prem team.

Fan Zone
at 20:57 24 Aug 2022

Am going to the game Saturday and was thinking about popping to the Fan Zone just before the game. A mate said don't bother the bar is a s#!t show.

Anyone else felt this way or is he just being melodramatic?

Also depends on how you have kept it. If it has been kept in a cold environment, sub 10 degrees you should have an okay product.

If it is pasteurised then you have even less to worry about. So many variables but as someone said here Sight and smell will alert you to most issues and if it tastes sour then you know to put it down.

Surely an easier way to stifle any developement in the land would be to put a protection order on the trees?

You can do several trees at a time.

I think that our point system would work for him wouldn't it....
sponsor 20 points
skill level 20 points
salary 20 points

so if we decide there is either a job shortage or he can speak English he would be in...

either way we need to sign undervalued players and this might be a good way of synergising the 2 clubs

NHS 1% pay rise
at 19:45 5 Mar 2021

I haven't read through the thread so apologies if I'm repeating anyone. I cannot help that this is a poorly played hand and I feel they've done it this low as they are worried about the total cost of the NHS as a pay rise is for all and for the long term.

If I were the government and I was worried about the mid-term cost id be looking at a 1 off bonus. Similar to how a lot of firms work when they have a bumper year. This for all accounts was a bumper year for the NHS. They have been asked to work hard, longer, and in a more dangerous scenario.

Just having a little look at the league table
at 09:39 3 Mar 2021

its a crazy situation to be in; on a decent run, decent enough squad, new manager that knows how to get promoted.

Posh have to play 6 top 6 games which can only be a good and they also play Charlton and Stanley.

we have 2 top 6 games with Charlton and Plymouth rounding off our top half matches remaining. So we have 10 bottom half of the table matches with 5 being in the bottom 5.

yet being Ipswich we know we have the choke ability to some how not get into the top 6.

I think I acknowledged that its annoying in the 2nd para. I'd defiantly feel let down by the deal we got too but there are ways around it and I'm sure this butcher will be making sure that all the docs are compliant next time around.

I have got away with my 2 trades so far but I don't know if I'm doing it perfectly or if I'm dodging the bullet so to speak. Until I get it wrong I wont really know. Have to say I don't do a lot of trade with the EU so it is a less stressful situation for me than many others.

the government doesn't run business, their trade deals can definitely help but its not the thing that makes you competitive or not.

if all you do is rely on government good luck as I'm sure you'd agree with me that they aren't the most competent bunch.

Still More Brexit Chaos
at 09:55 21 Jan 2021

This is a classic lockdown thread.

Starts with a relatively meh post about teething issues in the mechanics of exporting into a "new" market. The British exporter and the EU importer need to make sure that the forms are being filled in accurately and to what the boarder force expect. I for one have not yet had anything turned around but I'll be shocked if it doesn't happen at some point in the coming months / year.

It's annoying, more annoying as one used to be able to do this trade with little effort. The lesson this butcher will learn is that these forms are now gold and in the future it will open him up to other markets as he'll have the experience to be able to handle it.

The crux of this is, the people who are annoyed about this new era are the ones who weren't overly entrepreneurial and enjoyed the protectionism that the EU offered.

From a meat standpoint the EU, Egypt, USA, Russia, and Canada are all in the top 10 for importing meat. Mexico is 11th. China's largest import for beef comes from Brazil (1 day 6hr flight 4 weeks by ship). We can ship to the US and Canada in 10-30 days and we know how short the EU and Russia are when boarders run smoothly. it's gonna take time and some thinking about where your best market is and how best to make it work.

If we as a country fail it not because of the deal (which I agree leaves a lot to be desired) but because we as a producing nation could find a way to be competitive.

I Can Vote in the US and have always seen the democrats in a similar stance as the traditional Tory party I think over the last 10 years the Torys have gone slightly more right and the dems have gone slightly more left.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new green deal now they have both houses

I think the last 2 weeks have really shot a lot of moderate republicans. Biden is by no means a good choice for a good amount of Americans and is vice is a very left wing (for America) running mate. I'm sure a significant amount of Americans would have thought Trump is the least bad option during the election.

I think their choice of least bad option will have definitely changed

its such a difficult player for the west. do you get all puffy chest an get all Donald on them or do you do what we have been doing and just tut whenever they misbehave?

China and Russia are both annexing land illegally but if no one stands up to them they'll keep doing it. if you do stand up to them you could:
- get into a military war
- economic war
- cyber war

Half of London hospital admissions now 16-64
at 10:30 5 Jan 2021

One should also remember that the age group of 16-64 is roughly 57% of the population and the previous strains caused the following deaths (18th December)

Under 45 - 805
Under 65 - 8,387
45-65 circa 7,500

So when we look at these numbers the 45 - 65 cohort are still very venerable yet the previous rhetoric has been this is only a dangerous disease for the 65+ demographic.

On top of that you have 40ish and younger (me included), possibly the most entitled persons the UK have ever produced, who feel its their right to do as they please. So you have over 1/3 of the country happily running around the country with the high chance of spreading the new strain.

I can't find any decent Hospitalisation stats so if anyone has a link that would be ace

Good luck
