Thread | a12 before Maidstone game

Hey all, can anyone give me the latest on the A12 situation? Still loads of roadworks? Remember late last year it being a nightmare. I'm driving up from north London for the Maidstone game due to trains being crap and I suspect I won't be alone. Cheers! |

Trains from London are rail replacement bus part of the way and I think there's also an issue on the line that goes up through woodbridge etc, dunno about others, but they are the problems for me [Post edited 10 Feb 2023 10:38]

Hi, I'm driving to the game tomorrow for the first time in a while but unfortunately won't get into town until about 1.30-2. I'm conscious some trains are a bit messed up and it is a sellout, so worried about car parks being full and bad traffic. Any suggestions? Hey I’ve watched the last two games on ifollow but it takes ages to load. Have started 20mins before kickoff and slightly after. Get a spinning wheel for ages, sometimes refresh and then picture immediately loads. Other times not. Anyone have any advice? Using chrome browser on a chrome book with usually reliable internet connection for streaming. Thanks! |

It was more just the speak English, you’re an illegal immigrant, f@ck off you immigrant. How did you get here, on a boat. Go home. That kinda stuff. I feel like it was worse at the time and I’m not portraying properly. But perhaps I’m wrong and just projecting my own issues with some of the pretty basic people (based on awful banter) around me. |

Hi - the QPR fan that wears the hat and sits on the left was there as usual yesterday. He always gets a lot of stick and gives it back, normal stuff, all good. But yesterday he seemed to be getting a lot of stick about his immigration status etc. Some of the stuff being shouted from the left hand side of the away end seemed borderline racist to me. I'm not sensitive, don't want to talk politics and think it is a legit point of view (albeit not one i share) to think the country needs to have better control of immigration. Did anyone else think this? I was mortified to be among some of the folks, wish I'd said something. Don't want my kids hearing this.

Sorry if I've missed this elsewhere already but did anyone else notice Hyam saying what looked like "f*ck off" to the lower tier as he walked off today? Any idea if that was aimed at anyone in particular or just in general? Felt like a few of the players looked pretty pissed off at the support at the end. Fwiw, thought Hyam looked v short of match sharpness initially but seemed to grow into the game as it went on. |

Hey -- is anyone in the know about tickets for Brentford... in particularly on the chances of them going back on sale. I see terrace is still on sale but I need seats because I'm taking my six-year-old daughter and don't fancy her chances downstairs!
