Very loyal fans most probably had to take 2 days holiday and spend a lot of money knowing they would see there team most probably lose ,remember going to layer road back in the day on Friday nights and seeing only a handful of away fans and thinking this is real fans ,better than the glory hunters premier league fans who have never been near a football stadium |

After 31 years as a season ticket holder I will not be renewing as I find the experience of going to Portman road these days are boring ,yes the football is boring but I think the club need a good shake up from top to bottom ,long queues at the food outlets that are open ,real ale in legends bar is quite often not keep well and taste awful ,trees growing in the upper sir Alf Ramsey roof ,Ian Milne as a puppet man for Marcus Evans , |

southampton away 1991 was a great day loads of town supporters there good drinking session in the pub near the old cricket ground ,town fans getting in the home seating area and it kicked off when we scored lost 3v 2 dozzell got a brace
i went back 3 years ago at st marys desprite there being 5000 fans there it was not the same in the new stadium suppose modern day football has killed the fun in football |
