Can anyone defend Labour? 18:31 - Sep 25 with 5739 viewsBluefish

They are shamefully trying to destroy all brexit negotiations enough the destabilise the UK into an early General Election. This is bigger than party politics this is everyone's future being put at risk, we cannot afford for this during brexit. They should be putting the UK before their mad power grab.

To make matters worse they are saying that option A is not good enough and option B is too dangerous but at the same time saying we must give the public option B and then saying they will give the public the choice of a b or c all over again. It is bonkers and bloody dangerous to be playing a suicide card on the finances and futures just to desperately grab power and then align themselves with people that won't get in their way of driving a cross of dictatorship and all at the bottom socialism

Which there won’t be as it is pure fantasy sadly, so as you were. The language though of the MP calling for it 🙄

“Comrades, we must topple this cruel and callous Tory government as soon as we can,” Laura Smith, MP for Crewe and Nantwich, told a fringe meeting. “And if we can’t get a general election, we should organise with our brothers and sisters in the trade unions to bring an end to this government with a general strike.”

Plus Corbyn would lose the youth vote that took him to brink of power last time. 84% of Labour supporters under 24 would vote for a party offering remain

Unless there's a general strike...

Big call to exploit strikes for political gain on a grand scale. The public has lost sympathy with greedy unions

Whereas the internal workings of the Tory Party have had no bearing on the decision to have a Brexit referendum in the first place; the general election of 2017 and the current extreme problems in the negotiations. Jeez.
