Hurst wanted Waghorn sold to get in the Shrewsbury boys, just covering his own back saying he was desperate to go. All those players would not have left under MM.


Yes that is the likely scenario of it all. Sure Waghorn wanting to leave made the decision a bit easier in their eyes, but if we wanted to approach the summer in a different way and keep Waghorn then I believe we could have.

Hurst saw the potential to grab some money and reinvest into the type of players he wanted, it didn't work. Let's not make out we had absolutely no other options.
