Man United supporting friend of mine got his ticket for the 1976 (or 1977) cup final from a mate who was a member of the Oxford University Football Club. Another friend told the story of being at a cup final (can't remember which one) where the bloke next to him asked 'so who's playing this year?'

I was at a Cup Final a few years ago and a man behind me commented to his pal "it's not the same without a commentary". Grrrrrrrr.

A few years ago I was on the underground, after a concert and there was a girl all decked out in Chelsea holding a programme. A chap asked 'how did Chelsea get on?'
She replied 'won 1 - nil'
Chap 'Who did they play?'
